Morning Chris...glad to hear your dil only has 2 more weeks of chemo...and hopefully this will be a for sure green light for her!!!

The sugar around here is really sweet...makes me want to dump metaphorically! LOL

You stay cool chickie.....we are headed for 115+ here today....UGH...thank goodness for air conditioning and a pool that makes you freeze and get big bad goosebumples because the air is so dry!!!

Afternoon Chris and Cali gang
Been off Board for a couple of days; it does take time to read and catch up on everyone...just 2 days and I feel so left out! LOL

I decided that this past weekend I was NOT sitting home; poor Lon was soooo glad I went back to work today. He is beat LOL  Woke him up Saturday early...had mutual protein shakes and then headed for Lodi and the support group there.  Came home around 1, picked up the scooters and headed for Roseville, taking the back roads and our time.  We made a special trip to Sizzler as the manager had not seen me since before WLS and I was dying to see her face (a little ego tripping here, I know). Well, her face was 1 thing but she BOUGHT us dinner!!  She was so tickled with the 'transformation' that she said she wasn't allowing us to ride all the way up there and still pay for dinner. We were blown away to say the least. Oloofa is Hawaiian, once weighed 290lbs...and lost 115lbs...on her own..no surgery...just working her butt off working 10-12 hour days in the restaurant and all the stress that went with being a Manager.  She is one of my heros and definitely an inspiration to follow.

Anyway, after dinner, we rode over to Roseville Splash water park and minature golfland...as usual(!), I won hee hee heee. But honestly! I TRIED to lose! But what can I say....I got 3 hole-in-ones!!  I think Lon just couldn't concentrate..he was too busy taking pictures with his PHONE of all the little castles and lighthouses they had there for props LOL

Sunday we slept in (sorta...9:30am), finished up a couple of loads of wash and then we headed out for Roseville again...wanted to go to Denio's...a HUGE flee market and famers' market...but we ended up turning around at the gate.  We're not cheap people, understand, but when they wanted to charge us $3 A PIECE for parkiing in 1 car spot...and cars only paid $3...I mean, 2 scooters don't require 2 spots!  Anyway, we turned around, took the slow way home..and just flopped in the recliners when we got home! LOL  Had an absolutely fantastic 2 days...just sorry they had to end.

so, now I'm back at work, my computer tech is here to do some upgrading to my laptop..so gotta go.  Can't wait until the 25th for the No Cali meet up...looking forward to the 'future' mid-state rally and the get together of the Hat club...we are jelling now folks!
