Good Morning Calif........
WEnt to a pampered chef party last night and had a wonderful time. Ate too much. Seems to be the story of my life lately and Mr. Scales reflects this! I am soooo not happy with that. So, I sat down last night and analyzed why in the hell I managed to loose 4 pounds while on vacation and have gained 5 pounds since I've been back. Looked at my eating habits both places and determined I have slipped back into some old habits of stress nibbling on crap here at work. My work load has increased because I'm covering 3 full-time desks and have been for 2 weeks and it's ugly. Decided this has got to stop so today I made my protein shake, packed my lunch and left all my change at home so I can't hit the machine for cheetos or sun chips or any of that other good tasting crap. That's just what it is. CRAP!! No nutritional value, high calorie junk food.
I have my good food with me today, my cheese sticks a small amount of nuts and my high protein lunch.
Michelle posted this on Facebook and I am going to retype it here: I can do this. It's my power. It's my choice. Will I give it up or claim it? It's my decision. I should never give my power to someone else. I am in charge of my life. Do Not let someone take your power and get upset, angry, sad, mad or depressed! Whose life is it anyway???? MINE!!!!! I am in charge of what I put in my mouth and nothing can ever change that!

Hey LuLu...glad to see you doing the morning post...looks like on my end there is phantom posters....but I can still read them even so they do not think so LOL!!!!
Glad you liked your movie...I saw Public Enemies with my good friend Barb...we loved it and of course Johnny Depp was awesome as usual!
My Monday was spent in bed....I have had this headache sick to my stomach thing going on for a few days....well maybe longer....I take too much to heart and I should just chalk it up to....well nevermind.
Today I am watching both of my beautiful grandbabies...I already have Hunter and Ava should be here shortly. I am going to take Hunter for a haircut this morning before it gets too hot. We are expecting 114 to 115 today.
I am also excited because I got my camera back finally....oh the photo's will come and I do not have to worry about anyone deleting them now!!!
Have a great day LULU and the Cali crew!
PEACE OUT!!!!
“When you find peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others.” –Peace Pilgrim (1908-1981).
I am subbing for a co-worker this week ,because she is on vacation.
Not a lot going on with me. I might go to the knit shop and see if the sale is still on or not. If I don't go to the knit shop, I will go to Bed, Bath and Beyond for a window fan.
More Peace and Love,
Kim

I have so been enjoying Rhonda's commentary on Becky's visit. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to know that there are still good people out there, even after having been through bad times. Love you guys!
Today brings my first big Astronomy test. I'm kind of putting off studying until I get to school in a while, so I have it in my brain right before I take the test. I'm pretty nervous; I asked my DH if I should take a valium for my anxiety way before I take the test (because if I wait, and start getting panicky right around test time, it will be too late to take it, I'll be pretty much out of commission). He said that I should trust myself and see how I feel today. The nervousness that I feel is normal, I think. I'm pretty tuned into when I am going to have a panic attack, and I don't think I'm there. Oh, the joys of being bipolar! I just have to remind myself that I can get through this, and I will. Phil 4:13, right?
Anyway, I should finish typing up my Geography notes from studying last night. Everyone have a great day!!

Thanks Becky! I know you're so thrilled to have plastics done (see? I was reading back lol) I can't wait to see how you shake your groove thing on the dance floor now! What a fun time that was!
I made another batch of brownies today and added another T of cocoa and changed the caramel SF DaVinci to Chocolate. LOL I'm a chocoholic too. Oh my they're good! I think hubby might mind the commute, but if you were closer I'd sure love it. It's more fun with someone else to enjoy it too. ;-)
CarbQuikNutritional Information is there too. Here's the write up. It's kind of like Bisquick but less carbs:
Carbquik Baking Mix is a revolutionary baking mix for everyone counting carbs. It's made from wheat so it tastes like flour, try it and you'll see that it tastes as good or better than the leading brand, with 90% less carbs! Carbquik will work in almost any recipe calling for traditional bake mix. It can be used in pancakes, biscuits, waffles, pizzas, and just about any other baked product. You can even fry with it (don't try that with other low-carb bake mixes). Most low-carb bake mixes are made from soy, giving them gritty textures and soy aftertastes. Since Carbquik is made from wheat, products made with it taste just like products made using flour or other bake mixes. It's even lower in sodium and calories than the leading full-carb mix! Not only that, but most Carbquik recipes have 3 net carbs or less per serving! Carbquik is a complete, Low-Carb baking mix made with Carbalose that is similar to Bisquick. Since Carbquik is made from Carbalose instead of regular flour, it contains 90% less Net Carbs than Bisquick! Carbquik can be used in many recipes, such as biscuits, muffins, pancakes, waffles, pizza crust, and dumplings, as well as many cake and sweet dough recipes. Carbalose is made through a unique process and contains Enzyme-Modified Wheat, as well as Plant fiber, Wheat protein and some unique conditioners, enzymes and emulsifiers. Carbalose does not contain any soy protein, sugar-alcohols, dairy, animal-originated, trans-fatty, or saturated fat products. Feel better soon so you can shake it! Big hugs, ---jan---

Well, yesterday was more of cleaning out the "Dot Com" room, I actually cleaned out my file cabinet drawer that had been calling my name for 4 years! Needless to say, it looks wonderful and my poor shredder got a work out like no other, it kept overheating!
Also got a visit from Ron's cousin, her daughter and neices yesterday. Lulu, I was saying the same thing about where do those kids get the energy! One is going into 3rd grade and the other into Kindergarten and are just as cute as can be. They went to see Bert in the hospital and were amazingly good, in fact the nurses were spoiling them!
Today we're off the the e-waste to drop off all the old stuff. It's incredible how much we have accumulated in 9 years!
Rhonda, sounds like you, Becky and Michelle had a wonderful time, wish I could have been there too.
Well, best get movin' here, I do have to look at job postings and send more resumes today.
Hugs to al, stay cool and hydrated and remember the sunscreen too.
