Apparently There is Another Plan for Me

Well, in the mail today I got a "thanks but, no thanks" letter.  That's what I used to call them when I would send them out after interviews to the candidates who weren't selected.

I did not get the job at SFUSD, and not too sure why, but apparently God has another plan for me.  I sort of disappointed but I will keep on moving forward.  It was a little strange as they approached me, took me to lunch, invited me to see the offices and then chose someone else, weird eh?  My guess, an internal candidate, who they felt compelled to give the job to.

Oh well, so it goes.  Thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers and hope you'll keep them up for what's yet to come.

You are right God has an awesome plan for you.  You may not know what it is for a while or understand why but it is there!  You are an amazing woman that knows her stuff, the right job is there for you, it just has not been completly prepared for you yet, but it is there.  You will stay in my thought and always in my prayers my friend.  I am sending you a giant hug

I am so sorry to hear of your disappointing news, Barb. I can't add any more to what Rhonda just wrote. Except to tell you that I am thinking of you and I will continue to keep you in my prayers.  His will be done, not ours. Maybe if you had gotten that position, it wouldn't have lasted, with budget cuts and all. Your dream job will come when you least expect it. I will give you a huge hug. and I hope others join me in a gigantic group hug for you.

Thank you so much.  You both made me cry and I so appreciate the hugs and the love.  It's the 1st time in 34 years I don't have a job to go to.  Needless to say I am nervous but thank God for the man I married, that he keeps me reeled in and we don't spend money foolishly.

It is very weird and makes one wonder what all that "courting" was about, but there is no doubt in my mind that it is their loss, and you are destined for something else.  I will unhook my fingers and toes and uncross my eyes, but will continue to send good thoughts and vibes your way.

Im sorry to hear the news!   I agree, its strange for them to come to you and then give it to someone else.  I would agree with you, they prob has someont internal they feel obliged to.

Oh honey, I am soooo VERY sorry for you, I know how much you really wanted this!!! But as you and everyone else has said, God has another plan for you and it will be even better.
I agree that the way they went about it is wierd, but it is definitely their loss!!!
