Woooooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!! Awesome awesome awesome!! You sound like me. Some people think I try to dress too young but I missed my 20's, 30's and most of my 40's. I would have been a clothes designer in another life so I love wearing some sort of artsy stuff. I've got the permit too!

Thank you for your post! Love the recipe for life and your thoughts on forums. You're so right, we are all here to support one another along our journeys and that being said, we MUST appreciate & respect our diversity as individuals and as a group. One would think we should all be rowing the boat in the same direction right? After all, life wouldn't be so interesting if we were all the same.

Your timing couldn't have been better for me personally, this post was the pill I needed to remind myself of what really counts.

I have said those same words almost verbatim! You have said the same thing that I have said so many times, From my years at OH and through support groups I have learned so much from others and about different cultures. I love to celebrate our differences. Otherwise I would never have gotten the chance to experience so many types of people that are different from me...and the same goes for them meeting me. So many have found out that just because I have blonde hair that I'm not a stuck up witch. You cannot imagine how many people have told me that when they first met me they thought that but were sorry they judged me and were completely wrong. Unfortunately judging people never stops no matter what size you are.

HI Yvonne,

You have been an inspiration to me ever since I went to the OH Conference in LA a month after my surgery in September 2008. You are so true and I agree that people should take the recipe for life and keep it handy all the time.
Your time that you shared with us was awesome. I was there only on Sunday, but I am ready for another dose.
Keep up the great work, your positive attitude just spills out of you.

Yvonne, thanks for the post. I am not sure what is going on within the Cali Board, but it isn't pretty. I appreciate you posting on the Cali Board. I was at a loss of words and thoughts after reading all the posts this morning as I was not aware of conflicts and the drama going on. Your post has mellowed me and I hope everyone takes your post to heart because we really cannot afford to waste our energy on gossip, and everything else you wrote in your post.

I am now wondering if I should continue to inform my Support Group members of the Cali Board on OH as they would be new to the Cali Board and probably freak out if they read the posts that I read today.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone and I am sending hugs of happiness to all.

Terry, I hear the concern in your voice and I understand it. There has been some serious problems on the main board as well. I really don't know the answer because it comes to a point where it starts to be harmful for me and the trick is getting away before serious damage is done. I'm trying very hard to hang on and hopefully help a few without hurting myself. I was encouraged by someone I wrote to yesterday because she had some serious damage done to her by the toxic trauma drama. I keep hoping for an answer to this problem....I have formed a support group (forum) on OH and it has a little over 100 members and perhaps it will turn out to be a good source as well. Maybe you should do the same thing? I will continue to push for good will but it is really tough sometimes. Thanks for doing a support group....support group leaders are special people.
