Hooray for Olivia, and for you too! I'm sure that takes a little bit of stress away. I know it did when I was approved!

I'm just reading back..I'm so happy SSDI approved Olivia's benefits!  They take their sweet time but eventually do the right thing.  It took 2 years to have hubby;s SSDI approved.  Cool beans is right. :-)

Jeni...I am with everyone else here...don't be so hard on yourself!!! You have the tool to turn this around. So just do it...I know you can!!(((HUGS)))

As for me, I am still working on this blasted room. The concrete that I am staining has needed a LOT of prep work before I can do the actual staining. However, I think it just might be done by Sunday. Lets pray to the concrete godess that all goes well.LOL! I am ready, more than ready, to have this finished, it is the biggest construction project I have ever done with the exception of the trailer gutting and remodeling years ago. The only thing I am unhappy with is the color of the walls...they look too pink and I hate pink! I may have to repaint soon... I will see... after I get the rest of the work finished.
Well, I hope everyone has a safe, fun and relaxing weekend.

HUGS to all of you.
JOY

Jeni,
No more beating yourself up...You haven't failed unless you aren't trying and you're trying so you aren't failing...the number on the scale is just a number...like your age. It doesn't count!

Just be kind to yourself! If someone came to you and told you the same things you are telling us, you would be kind to them...you know you would! So pick yourself up, dust yourself off and be hopeful. Change one small thing...just one. Not everything on the planet (like joining a gym, radical diet, moving to a different planet where calories subtract instead of add....) but just one small thing like parking further from Walmart and walking further...or adding another bottle of water to your diet...ice water..Did you know that drinking 8 ounces of ice water will burn like 35 calories? See? that can be something...

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hello Jeni and Cali Crew,

Jeni, I am a little late in posting , but I wanted to tell you that you are not a failure.  The true definition of a "failure" is someone who has not tried.  You are not failure.  We are all struggling with our weight , so we all understand what you are going through.  The fact that you had wls to begin with makes you a success, not a failure.  As someone else had previously said, they operated on your tummy , not your brain.

I will be glad when 4:30 comes around.  I have a couple of errands to do and then home, sweet, home.

Tomorrow, I have meet with someone from freecycle.org regarding the sewing machine, do laundry (that reminds me that I need some quarters from the bank -note to self), cook some corn pudding (must buy one ingredient), and go to a Bid Whist party.
Sunday, I am going to really try to make it to church (on time).

That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Kim

Remember, its warm around the state, so drink tha****er! Also, have lots of fun and be loving and kind to yourself always!

I hope surgery went well today.  I'm sending good thoughts.

You have not failed.  You took a detour.  Now it's time to come back to the main road and continue your journey.  We're here for you.

Big Hugs,
