Ok, so I still planning on going, but I am hoping for feeback on this.....I had a co worker that went to Silverwood Lake this past weekend..she in Campsite #7 which I know is in a totally different area that we will be in.  My question is...she said where they were the water was a really murky green...to the point where she wouldn't even get in.  Her husband did, but he had green algea like stuff on his legs when he got out......I am a little hesitant now about going.  I have been looking forward to this trip for like 6 months now....but....green water....YUCK...  Has anyone been to the lake recently?  I am hoping that maybe it was just the spot they were in.

I hope for some feedback...it's a long way to drive for green murky water :(

Hi Linda,

I have not been up there this summer.  I will admit the water can be pretty gross at times with algee but you have to go out beyond the shore to get past it.   I hope that the water would be the one thing that would keep you from coming.  I can say that often times I camp I dont even go to the lake but that is just me.

I just don't know how enjoyable it will be at 105 degrees and not even be able to go into the lake to cool off. .  As of right now....I am planning on going.  I just didn't realize that the lake would be so contaminated.
