My father-in-law being transferred to a skilled nursing facility (it means he may be one step closer to coming home.)

The power and knowledge to make good eating decisions

Getting my car's air conditioning fixed.... finally (I hope)

There were two good jobs that I applied for yesterday!!

Thanks Ms. Chris, it's a good thing.  Now let's hope he has the "want to" to get stronger.  I couldn't blame him if he doesn't but I pray that he does at least for our sake, we're not ready to put him in a long term care facility but Isla can't take care of him the way he is currently bless her heart.

Thanks for this thread Barb....it has even prompted me to get out and make a few entries in the Gratitude Journal Oprah had me doing....   It is amazing how just writing a couple of things down totally gave me an attitude adjustment....

I am thankful for:

the power of prayer and forgiveness
the health of my family and friends
that I have a job, a place to live and food to eat

and on a less serious note....that I got the call yesterday that Olivia was approved for SSI benefits and now she can pay her own daycare costs!!!    teeheehee

I am so happy for Olivia too, that's wonderful.  You're a fantastic lady and Olivia is one heck of a gal too, she is so loving, you've done exceptional Laura.  Not to mention you too!  When can I change that avatar for you lady?  LOL

Today I am thankful for Today.

Each day is a new day a new begining!  If yesterday was not what you wanted it to be, make today what you want.  If you ate to much yesterday learn and eat right today.  If you did not exercise yesterday exercise today.  I am thankful that I have today to do what I did not do yesterday.

Today I am thankful for:

My faith in my God. Who has not let me walk any path alone. Who has carried me more times than I can remember.
My faith in people. That I am able to see the positive amidst the negative.
My husband, who through the turmoil that we are trying to get out of continues to take the time to tell me he loves me, either in words, or text, or just a note. Every day.
My friends, who continue to support me. Especially the ones here on OH. I have never, ever experienced the love, respect, and support as I do on this board. I love all of you, and offer my lifelong friendship to you.
My family, even though they still aren't 100% behind me with my surgery, I accept the fact they just want whats best for me and they love me.
My surgery date!!! I got approved and the next morning I was given my surgery date! 14 more days until 7/31!! Whoo-hoo!
And I am thankful for my precious angel, Rhonda. Without her help and guidance I would still be lurking in the background. I have come to meet people who are very special to me, through her. I just don't want to imagine my life without this very good friend in it.
I am also thankful for Becky, who will act as my angel proxy. Since my surgery will be in San Diego. Thank you Becky, you are a beautiful person. Without you and Rhonda..... well, we won't even go there! I love you both, very much....both of you stop getting misty-eyed!!
