Good Morning Calif

Welcome to this wonderful Saturday Morning.....

For well over a week, I have been telling Liz my sinus are all messed up, and that my head is going to explode if I sneezed one more time. Well enough was enough and I went to see the doctor last night, and was told its my ears, not my sinus. Surprise, surprise. Heck my ears don't even bother me. Well they didn't until he suck that thing in there and looked around. He told me that if I had flow my ear drum would have en-ploded (?)  and I  would have lost  my hearing. That they had already started to cave in just a bit. If I had waited 2 or 3 more days, I might have lost some of my hearing. He sent me home with a couple medication and shot, that is now killing my arm. The nurse told you might have a bit of muscle pain with this short. DUH!!  But I already am feeling better with the medication, so its working.

So I have been working tons and have not been around the boards much. So I don't know what has been going on. So take a second and catch me up. Tell me what is new, or what you have planned for the weekend.

I am riding my bike to work this morning so I need to get moving. I wish you all a wonderful day. Share a smile or two, they are free.

Well I am sure glad that you went to the doctor,  I cannot imagine what it would be like not being able to hear and so happy you went when you did. 

My weekend will consist of sitting and more sitting.  My recliner is permanently attached to my butt.now.  Good TV starting at 3 tho, we have NASCAR on.  Dougie is working today which I don't mind, these are the kinds of days that he lives for, hot, dry, and hoping for some overtime.  The money is nice, but I much prefer him to not be out and about, to be home where he loves to be, 

Well I am going to try and get back to sleep.  Everyone have a great day.  Oh yeah, I don't know where Gus and Anna are going this weekend, just know that I am jealous!!

Gees Louise, I can't believe I'm up before 7 on a Saturday..I usually try to sleep in until at least 8.  But I tossed and turned most of the nite...just couldn't find a comfortable position.  Besides that, I couldn't get warm...since I've lost most of my 'insulation', even with the air conditioner set at 76, I'm still cold. And poor Lon says he's dying because I keep the house 'so hot'. I think he's nuts but I must agree last year at this time, the temp was kept at a nice 'freezing' 70degrees LOL

Today we're visiting a carving friend (he's 80 something!) who wants to give Lon some black walnut (wood).  Gino is just an amazing carver; he carved an alter for the Sacramento Catholic Diocese church that had to be Sainte inspired.  He has carved 'the Madonna with Child' in black oak (life size!) that is so shiney you can see your own reflection in the wood.  I'm really looking forward to going to his house; Lon says he has more amazing pieces through out his whole house.

We're in a heat wave up here and it is messing with my scooter riding! We switched from ATT to Verizon cell service, wanted to take a ride up to the 5th wheel to make sure we still had service available (the foothills are notorious for 'dead spots') but the temps are going to be around 104 here in Sac which means 106 or better in the foothills. :-(  You can't even breath when riding the scooter when it's that hot.  So I guess it's stay inside and keep myself busy, either playing with the new cell phone (learning all the new bells and whistles), carving or surfing the net.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday and that you do at least 1 thing special for yourself today.  We are so good at taking care of others; we ourselves sometimes get left out of the 'taking care of' loop. It's going to be a hot one all over the state..keep sipping tha****er...and watch out for over-heating ^_^

Good Morning Cali!

I am off to the gym for the first time since surgery.  I have just been walking around the park near my house, but today I'm going for the eliptical and treadmill at the gym just to start getting into the swing of things.

Other than that, nothing interesting....taking mutt and yorkie puppy to get groomed, dropping vaccuum off to be reparied (AGAIN) and then home just to do chores and laundry.

But, my kids and I had fun last night by going ot the beach for an end of session party for the junior lifeguards program they have been particpating in.  I made sure I had my dinner before we went as to not even think about the pizza and other evils that were served there!  The sunset was beautiful and it was a great evening...now boring chores for us!

Good morning Cali,

Well its gonna be a hot one today!  Did some laundry last night so I would not have to put on the washer and dryer and go into the hot garage-boy it was still hot in there at 10. 

Not sure what is happening today, our church is having their carnival this weekend and wanted to go but if it is 90+ I doubt it.  Maybe we will run off to Monterey or Santa Cruz.  Gotta get going and see if DH wants to get out of Dodge!!

My week in Petaluma was good and I am home for a week then back on the road for 2 more.  Its not so bad now that DH and Vanessa come up for a few days each week.

I am so happy you went to the doctor's....remember you have to take care of yourself, becuase who else will if you don't....also, becareful riding your bike..thre are a lot of nuts out there!!!

As for me...well, I just got back from my 3 mile walk pussing my granddaughter in the stoller and for those of you that know me...the stroller is as tall as me, so it seemed like a 6 mile walk...lol, but it was good.  Now I need to get my day going....I need to finish my flower bed in the back yard and get house cleaning done and laundry...maybe if I get everything done today..I can relax tomorrow..

Lu, I am so glad you went to the Dr!!!! I have had ear problems all my life and am hard of hearing thanks to it, so I can attest to how sensitive they are!

I need to get a move on and get into the shower so I can finish getting ready, I have a job interview at 10:30! Think good thoughts for me (please?!) and I will update with how it went later!

Diane, so glad Nascar is on for you, my husband loves watching that  too. Take care my friend.
Michele, you made me laugh when you said how big the stroller is. Have a great time doing your relaxing thing and getting your window box done.
Yes, it is going to be hot, hot, hot! It already is, is, is!!!
As for me today, I am going to call the wedding planner and make sure things are on track. (Even though, I feel I have been doing it all, just kidding.) lol!!!!
Tonight our friends and us are going to the Verizon for the Rodger and Hammerstein, Symphonic Movie Night.
That will be relaxing and fun. I will let you all know if I survived walking up to the lawn area. That is where we picnic and sit. It's not like the Hollywood Bowl, which has escalators. I will make it. I have not been there since we saw Journey there in early 2008.
