Glad you got to the doctor, Lu, and found out what was up in your ear... no fun, for sure, but the meds should have you feeling back to normal soon, yes?

I'm off to Leisure World to help a former teacher of mine from high school with some computer stuff, then down to the pier for a little concert by some former students! Fun day...

Hope you all are doing well... drink your water....it's gonna be a hot one in SoCal, pretty much everywhere, huh?

Good morning Cali Crew and happy Saturday to all of you!!

13 more days to surgery date!  I think I am ready, um, I hope I am ready. I know I am ready. Just a little nervous. As I am sure all you post-ops were. I had a wonderful night out with my husband and a couple of very special friends! It was really nice. This is the 2nd Friday in a row that hubby has taken me out after working all day! Hmm, whats going on? Lol, I am just going to enjoy it.
I have nothing planned today, just kinda have a lazy Saturday. Tomorrow, I have to go down to San Dimas, because my family has like 11 birthdays in the month of July! And tomorrow is the last time I can get down there to see everybody before my surgery. Can't go down next weekend cause itsa my birthday, too! Whatever you chose to do today, try to make it fun. Enjoy your day, enjoy You! Its your power, claim it! Its your day! Have fun, be safe and love each other!

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lulu, so glad you went to see the Doc about your ear, you've been suffering way too long with that and wow, you went just in time.  So glad you're on the mend now.

Yesterday, sent lots of resumes out and made some professional contacts too.  I just pray that I find something, I feel a bit odd and a little scared but I am keeping the faith above all.

Today, I am going to go through all the boxes that I brought with me from my jobs and pitch what I can and repack the rest.  OMG I am a pack rat when it comes to work, I never know when I will need a policy or a program so I keep everything! LOL

We're going to visit Ron's Dad today, he seems to be setteling in nicely there and even commented he liked the food, so we'll take that as a good sign.  Isla and I will probably end up going shopping (window mostly) for some retail therapy).

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and weekend and please remember your sunscreen and water.

Good Morning California! 

I finished my first week of training yesterday for the LB Half Marathon so I'm very excited about that.  Today will be spent trying to catch up on my Algebra homework and taking this week's quiz.  I got behind because I had my Midterm this week and I was afraid if I did this week's homework AND studied for the Midterm, I'd get all my formulas confused.  So now I'm playing catch up.  Math is not my friend.

Tomorrow is my weekly "long" run and if I can get through this school work, Harley and I may just go spend the day at the beach

Thank you Maureen! It's so wonderful to be met with warm wishes.  I've missed being part of this communitiy where we lift each other up and help each other along the way.  Not everyone in my life can understand the WLS portion of my life, and here we all have this commond bond.......and I love it here.  So again, thanks you for welcoming me back. 

Good Morning Everyone,

I am very sore this morning, from my great workout yesterday. It feels good though. A good walk today will help work out the legs anyway. Not much else planned for today. I have already done the dishes, but still have the rest of the place to clean up. I am so looking forward to that. NOT. Looks like it is going to be another warm one here in the East Bay. I could go for a bit cooler, but oh well. I guess I could be back east, where there summer hasn't even started yet. Well, I hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Good morning my "partner in crime" and all Calif,

So glad you went to the doctor and got that ear looked at.  I can speak from experience, if you let that stuff go, you will lose your hearing.  From all the alergy and sinus issues I've had my whole life and not taking care of them properly, I have suffered significant hearing loss and it's horrible.  I'm now at the point where I need to get hearing aids and just don't do it.  Oh well, someday.

It's a scorcher here in the IE.  I like hot weather, but it gets to this point and it's just too much.  Last summer this time we were leaving for a week up in Big Bear.  It was great.  No plans for that this year.  Probably just going to do a couple of short weekend type trips this year. Gilroy Garlic Festival and family in Santa Cruz coming up shortly.

Today brings a trip to Wally World and some other errands.  We went to the movies yesterday afternoon when I got out of work at 3PM.  Saw Harry Potter.  It was good.  Long, but good.  I think the best part of the movie was all the little kids in the theater.  Their excitement could have been measured and would have gone off the meter.  In one part Harry is fighting and wins and this little voice yells out, GO HARRY.  It was so cute.  The whole theater started laughing.

Time to get in the shower and get this day started.  Mikey promised me a trip to Starbucks if I could get out of the house before noon.  No way am I passing up a Coffee Light Frapaccino. Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday.  And remember, do something nice for yourself.  It will make you happy and if you are happy all around you will feel your happiness and can't help but find some happiness within themselves as well..

Little Michele - yesterday you said you were going to relax your post today has little time for relaxing!   But gardening I can be very relaxing so Have fun with it!  (P.S.  I would love to see you pushing the stroller I got such a laugh just imagining it.  Thanks for the laugh)

Michelle - you are welcome to come over here and help me clean my garage, it is going to be a blast I am sure.  I was so empressed that you got up and sang last night girl.  

Lori - How fun a concert on the pier.  I so used to love doing that when I lived down that way.  You enjoy yourself and dance a little if you can. 

Jackie -  Have you farted yet?  Karen keep us posted.

Karen -  Don't work too hard today it is just too darn hot!

Becky - Have a safe ride home today, it was fun last night and you were the best singer out of all those people.  I think next time those people will sound better if we drink?  What do you think?  lol

Barb - Glad your FIL is liking the nursing facility.  Give Isla a big hug for me today too.  Don't work to hard organizing stuff, play a little today!

Nancy - I want to see a picture of you and Lon on the scooters.  You too are just too cute.  Maybe you could post a picture of your scooters and your carvings?  That would be just too cool.

SueBee - Your Birthday is coming up how fun is that?  Camping trip is coming up too, you are just too busy.

Chris -  Are you doing Costco today?   If so I hope you at least get to serve something good, like icecream and not goats milk! 

Laura -  do you and Olivia have big plans for today?  Something fun in the sun?  I heard it is going to be super hot your way.

Kirsten & Kevin  I hope you get to stay cool today, but please do not pee in anyones pool.  I am not sure I am going to ever invite you all over to our pool, but what the heck I have a gizzillion kids so I am sure at least one of them pees in the pool, go ahead come on over, you are welcome to pee, just don't tell me about it ok?

Celeste - I hope your shoulder is getting better I know you were in a lot of pain.

Stacy -  Things will get better I am sure of it.  Just keep your eye on your goals and you will achieve them.  Did you get to go to Karoke?  I hope you get to go for Sue's B-day I am going to try myself.


MOMO -  You catch about a million fish with the gang today!   Don't get too burned out there on the boat today.  Give Joe and Jayden big hugs for me and have a blast today, I know you always do.

Stephanie -  It is so good to see you on these days.  I hope to run into you and one of the many events that are upcoming.  Did you say you were going to the day camping?  I can't remember my name half the time.  I thought I would take the kids out on a hike one of the days they are going to be there,  Maybe we shall run into you there?

Naomi -  What are your plans for today?  Lunch and shopping?  You looked so beautiful last time I saw you in your little bikini and all.  I was thinking a red one for you!  O.k.  Go ...... shop till you drop... you have my permission!  lol.  Enjoy your day what ever you decide to do.

Jean -  How is that hottie guy of yours?  Are you out hanging with him today?  Being Bad?  I hope so.  We only have one life to live, lets enjoy it with all of our hearts, souls, minds and use up these bodies really good!

Very nice shout out Rhonda.  I'm impressed.  I would never even try it, unless I had written down before hand what was up with everyone.  Like you, there are days I can't remember my own name.  Mike puts a little name tag with my address on it pinned to my clothes on those days.  At least then he knows I'll make it home alright.  LOL

As for camping, yes I think Mike and I will be up for the day and he really wants to go hiking.  He tried it last year but was all by himself.  I was very busy at the campsite hanging with my girls. I'm thinking that will probably be my plan for this year as well.  So I'm thinking we will see each other then
