...Daily Thanksgiving

Barb, I was feeling thankful this morning and I did not see you yet, so I thought I would pinch  hit and hope that you are in your warm bed cuddling with that adorable husband of yours.

Well today I am thankful for many things.  But what is on my mind is this.  I am thankful for forgivness that is offered to us when we mess up (I know I do all the time).  I must confess that I met a gal sometime back, but because of what someone else said I shyed away from them.  I was wrong.  I have asked this person to forgive me because of my plain stupidity and you know what they said?  They said no need and just opened their door to me.  So I am thankful that people forgive, and that people's hearts are not hard in this world, and that they understand we are humans and not perfect.  That is what I am thankful for today.

Everyone have a great day, and you know that person that you maybe have been ignoring or misjudged, didn't give a proper chance? Email them, call them, text them,  you may be surprized at the results.

Hey girlfriend, you post anytime.  I was up, just slow moving!  LOL  Besides, we can never be thankful enough for what we have!  Double the pleasure and the fun!

Hugs, love and thanks,

That is so true, Rhonda... and my heart breaks, even for the one who has hurt so many....because, in reality, we have all messed up big time in so many ways, and true friends continue to forgive, and that's a blessing.

At the same time, forgiveness has to be sought in order to be obtained... or does it? I guess maybe not...we can forgive someone in our own hearts even before they seek it, like your friend did... when you reached out, the forgiveness was already there.

I'm thankful for forgiveness and second chances today, too, and would welcome the chance to offer it to anyone. Yes, anyone.

have a great saturday, all!

I recently read somewhere that forgiving someone who has wronged you is also a gift to yourself....  When you forgive, you free yourself from living in the past.

I think even when the other person does not seek it or ask for it...it is important to forgive for your own peace of mind.

Good morning Miss Rhonda,

I am so confused there are two of these posts, so I posted on Barb's and then noticed you did one too. So I hope you don't mind I am just going to do a little arts and crafts here, just a little "cut and paste" job.  Love you my friend!  Have a great day!

Today I am thankful for:

My enemies... because they keep me on my toes. I am fighting a battle right now and I am reminded that I need to pray for this person, too.

that my husband takes the time to spend time with me, even after a long, hard day at work.

my faith that allows me to see all my blessings everyday. That gives me sight to see, air to breath, strength to walk, arms to hug, fingers to touch, lips to kiss. I am thankful that I have this day.

my friends, they ground me and support me and love me unconditionally.

that I have lived to see another birthday soon.

and for my surgery date, which will be my second birthday.

Hugs & friendship,

Michelle T.

That is a powerful experience Rhonda.  We so often take the word at face value of those who have other motives or are just not sincere people.  We shut out alot of others and experiences because of what one person says.  The fact that we as humans can see our mistakes and fix them is what sets us apart from the animal world.  Well that and our ability to accessorize. (I just love the movie Steel Magnolias where that line comes from).  Anyway, glad you found the strength to open your door.  Good people will always forgive you and never hold a grudge and if they do, then they aren't so good afterall.

My "shallow" thankfullness today is the fact that my house has A/C.  Oooo baby it's hot outside.

I'm also thankful for the antihistamine I just took and hopefully my nose will unstuff and stop itching shortly. OK, so this is a strange gratitude, but it's a gratitude all the same.

And finally, as always I'm thankful for the love of my son and my honey.  They both bring me so much joy.

Have a great weekend and try to stay cool.

I too am so thankful for my friends who have been so supportive to me in the last few weeks, both on and off the OH boards....on a lighter note, I'm also really thankful for coffee this morning.
