I am here! :o)

I am all set and waiting for folks to arrive @ our first official Contra Costa Support Squad meeting! It is in the Event center room @ Raleys on Sand Creek Rd in Brentwood. I am SO looking forward to seeing folks.

Let us know how things went, awaiting for an update!

Well, unfortunately by a little past 10:30 no one had made it. I am sure tons of folks are on vacations + such. I am looking forward to next month!

I hope that people make it next month.  Not only are they on vacation, but it's was so hot, maybe some people just didn't want to go out in the heat.....I know that would have been me if I had something planned yesterday!

Thanks Diane I am committed to growing the group and doing everything I can to make it a great source of support - and I know it takes a while to get going.

It WAS very warm yesterday, even at only 10am we were already in the high 80s and there was NO breeze.  I'll sure be glad when this really hot part of summer is over!

Oh shoot Cathy.  I am so sorry you had to sit there alone.  I had planned to attend but I admit with temp****ting 103 on Friday and the same if not hotter on Saturday expected, I just wanted to stay inside with the a/c. :-(  We didn't venture out until almost 6pm.  I'm not sure what day you are planning for August, but if it is any weekend but the 14-15th, hopefully Lon and I can attend.  Keep me informed please.  I want to thank you for trying to get this off the ground; even if I have to trave a bit...there just aren't a whole lot of groups in Northern Calif...we need all we can get!
