Monday Mornin' Howdy Cali!

I'll trying starting us out this morning . . . but I'm probably posting over someone and if so . . . we can consolidate!

Hope everyone had a great weekend . . . the most fun I had other than Costco was the trail of ANTS on my bed . . . ugh . .. and I had just finished washing all my bedding a day before . . . what a PITA . .. I live on an ant hill and all the heat has brought them out everywhere . . . ugh . . . so I put out my trusty ant bait stations . . . and only had a few stragglers when I was going to bed last night . . . ants are NOT what I would choose to share a bed with lol!

Also wanted to mention that I love the feel of this board lately!  Its refreshing!

OMG is it really monday? I missed my whole weekend. That sucks! Oh well, it does pay the bills, and I am very thankful for that. Beside I am off the next two days. Unless I work overtime. One of the other clerks was sick last week, so she might not be in tomorrow. If I don't work I need to take the dogs in to get there nail clipped and they all need baths. So that is what I might do tomorrow. After sleeping in for 10 hours.

The chili was a big hit yesterday at work. OMG! So many people stopped by to tell me how great it was. I was happy about that. Only one person said it was to spicy.  But she still liked it. I was very happy about that. There was a few that didn't get any and they made sure I knew about that also. Wanted me to start a list to make sure they where first on the next pot. LOL

Chris that was for closed minded of you. Them ants wanted a nice comfy place to snuggle and picked you out of millions. Tsk tsk Share and share a like. I have been told that if you keep some place in the shade wet, the ants wont come in. Wiether that is true or not, I don't know. Try it and see.

Yeah, it's Monday and it finds me kinda 'down'..no specific reason other than I didn't get accomplished this weekend what I had set out to do.  It was just too darn hot!  And the weather man can't seem to get it straight..I was hoping today would drop out of the 100+degrees but it looks like it's gonna hang around ALL WEEK!  I worked all day yesterday on my 'weightloss pictorial' (sp) but got so frustrated with my HP photoprinter.  It wouldn't let me adjust any of the settings for color, density, tone, etc and then when I tried to use the HP photo paper, the printer feeder would screw up the direction of the paper when it 'grabbed' it.  Finally just ended up printing the pictures on regular 20lb copier paper and they look awful!  Colors aren't crisp and true to hue...so disappointing.

Today work is work; just thankful the boss won't be in until Wednesday so I'll get most of the main company year end books done.  Of course, I've got 3 more companies after that to do year end but they are easy and will go quick.  Got a support meeting tonight which I always look forward to. One of our gals just had her surgery last Wednesday and I've offered to drive her to the meeting if she is so inclined to go.  I hope she does; everyone wants to see her as she doesn't have a computer.

Well, time to head back to work; books won't get done if I don't start entering data in the computer LOL  Hope everyone can find a cool spot to lie low in and drink that liquid!  Be good to yourselves!

Good morning Chris and Cali,

Well today is back to the grindstone-yuck!  At least I am home this week.  We had a very nice day yesterday, went to church, then the carnival, then to the city.  Vanessa stayed with Gram while DH  and BIN went down to pier 39.  So many people enjoying the great weather.  We walked for about an hour which was great for me!

They had chowder in a bread bowl after I had a piece of chicken, oh well I can live without that lovely sourdough!!

You have my empathy with the ants.  We are losing our battle here.  I get a trail in one spot and find a new group some where else.  It make me itchy and jumpy all the time.

Well last night we had planned a lovely sunday dinner of baked chicken and dressing, mac and cheese, fresh green beans from my garden and parker house rolls.  My mom stuffed the chicken and got it in the oven, I had the rolls rising and the mac and cheese in the cassarole dish when my mom looked over at the oven about 30 min after she put in the chicken to see it was set at 100.  Yep my oven died.  So we put the chicken in a dutch oven and cooked it in the pot and improvised with the toaster oven.  It wasn't quite the steller meal I was expecting but still good.

Ah man, that just stinks!  I know how much you are a cookin fool so that makes it double stink!!!  Mine died right after the big split and I had to wait for like four months until I could afford to replace it and that was horrible!!  Do you have a home warrantee that covers the appliances from when you bought the house?  Don't those usually last three years after you make the purchase?  I'm glad that you got  to have dinner just the same.  I miss you so dang much.  When I get back from Texas, we just have to get together.  Have a great (and HOT) day!!!  Love you!!

Since the house was owned by the bank I'm sure it is not covered and who knows when I will have 2 cents to get a new one.  Guess I'm glad its summer and I won't need it much.  I miss you too and think of calling often but had no idea of your schedule.  We will definitely have to chat at least.  When are you going to Texas and is it business or pleasure?

Dustbuster is graduating from Basic Training with the Air Force!!  Can you believe that?!!!!  We leave on Wednesday and will come home on Sunday.  Just a short trip.  My boy is now a man!  I can tell the difference in him when he calls.  Just the last eight weeks have been so amazing.  The first calls home were just of me and him both crying, he wanting to come home, and me wanting him to not be crying and wanting to move heaven and earth to get him home.  One time I went so far as to go to a town meeting and talk to my congressman about getting the heck out of there, but he talked me into letting him stay.  He did arrange a special phone call for us though
:-).  I have to tell you that you HAVE to have another Jordyn because I would just not be able to cope if Dusty was my only one and was gone.  I have Gary still here and by the time he leaves the house, then I will be used to my kids coming and going.  That and because she is so darn cute and ou and Donald make some cutie patooties :-)

Lets make plans to at least chat after I get back home on Sunday, o.k.?

The air force wow that is amazing.  I am glad that he stayed and manned up to the challenge what an awesome thing for him.  By the time Jordyn is allowed to leave me I will be old and decrepit and she will have to take care of me.  hee hee hee.  I don't think Donald would speak to me if I go preggers again.

i had an awsome time in montery this weekend ... went to atleast 4 beaches and walked and walked watching the waves... my friend and i are going back in two weeks when we're both kid free... going to be very fun..and lots more walking...i'm just going to call my surgen today and make an appointment.. it's been a year.. and now i'm under 200lbs i'm 198lbs i'm so happy.. ok coffee is done tiime to get me some..
