Monday Mornin' Howdy Cali!

Chris and Monica... ANTS... my parents are also living on an ant hill in Diamond Bar... they get them inside their dishwasher.... their washing machine...their beds...EVERYWHERE. They've had exterminators come out to no avail long term. They pretty much live off of paper plates and cups to try to keep food bits out of their sink and garbage disposal. So, you both have my sympathy for sure!

This morning the demolition guys arrive at 730 to begin tearing out walls and flooring to make way for a new bathroom and walk-in closet to be installed in a room that used to be a bedroom. This will then create a master "en suite" or however you spell it: a master bedroom w/private bath. Cool! But, i'd like to fast forward through the next three or four weeks and get to the final product, yes?

OMG!  It's Monday!  Quick, hide under the covers and maybe it'll go away!

Not.  Today brings me up and ready to hit the road running!  I'm at wor****il 8 when I need to go home again, pick up the bald broken man and take him to physical therapy.  We'll work out a schedule so I don't have to miss anymore time at work.

Our day at the lake was awsome.  Jayden's mom came and joined us for the day and took the kid home with her.  It's too quiet here. And daddy's missing his little buddy.  We'll get him again on Sunday.  But the "Meet and Greet" at the lake worked out fantastic and momma said she'd be up to doing this again. 

We played on our new tube.  I stuck my boney butt in the tube part with my 9' long legs hanging out the top and hung on for dear life.  It was a total blast.

Speaking of total blast (from the oven) it's going to be a mild 110 here today!  YeeeHaw

Good morning Chris and All of Cali,

OK, it's Monday, I'm at work, but that's about all I can muster up.  It's only Monday.  I'm so behind because I definitely have the summer doldrums.  I just can't get my head around concentrating on work.  My mind is all over the place.  But I shall prevail.  I've been here for a half hour already.  I'm trying to get some coffee into me in the hopes that will kick start me.  As usual I didn't have a great nights sleep.  I've been having this hip problem and frankly the pain when I'm sitting and laying down is just awful.  When I'm walking it's actually ok, but being sedentary for any length of time is horrible.  Oh well, this too shall pass.  Then couple the pain with allergies and I'm just not a happy camper.

We had a nice weekend  Started with Harry Potter on Friday afternoon, some shopping on Saturday, a baby shower yesterday afternoon and finished up with The Next Food Network Star and HGTV's Design Star.  I'm good for summer now.  I have some TV worth watching.  I do drive Mike crazy though with my food network and HGTV watching.  He can't see why I like those shows.  Men, they'll never understand.

OK, going to get another cup of coffee and get my head wrapped around some of this pile of work.  I've got a couple of tax returns that I promised to a client this week.  Of course he still hasn't brought me all the information I need to complete them, but at least I can get them started.  It never ceases to amaze me how we beg clients for their work to prepare their taxes for them all the time and they ignore us.  But as soon as they need the return for a business loan or new home mortgage there is no let up on them calling.  Got to love people though.  LOL

Hi Steph . . . regarding the hip problem . . . I would get it checked out . . . I can so totally relate . . . the pain can become unbearable at times.  I finally got mine checked and have osteoarthritis in both hips . . . but i'm on meds that makes life livable for now . . . putting off replacements for awhile at least.  There is pain relief out there if that is what you have developed also . . . hope it isn't .. . but you should check it out.  I ignored it for over a year . . . not smart.

I know you are right Chris, but I've been trying to keep my head in the sand on this one.  I've had so many medical issues this year that I just don't want to deal with another one.  Although being as I have reached my maximum out of pocket expenses on my insurance for the year I should just go and take care of everything.  I see my gyn next month and I might ask her for a recommendation for a orthopedic guy.  Can't hurt to have it looked at and to try to get me off of the Aleve and Advil I've been taking.  I know I shouldn't take that stuff but I hurt so bad otherwise.  This at least gives me some relief because I refuse to take narcotic type drugs.  I hate the way they make me feel and they make me naseous.

Thanks for the opinion though.  You made me at least pull my head out of the sand for moment.

I don't know if you are limited on the doctors you can go to or if you can go to the doctor of your choice but I do a great Ortho guy, all he does is knees and hips, that is it, and he is excellent!  Let me know and I will give you his name and nuber.  If you are hit your limit this year, get everything done and let the insurance pay for it all, don't let it go to waste!!  U have poaid premiums for how many years and not had a claim, so use it up!  I know I am going to.

Well how stupid am I not to have asked you for your guys name.  Just slap me upside the head please next time you see me.  Yes, please give me his name and number. Send it to my email. I have Anthem Blue Cross PPO so as long as he takes Blue Cross I can go to whomever I want.

Any other doctors you can think of for me to use before December 31, just give them to me. I have some great doctors taking care of me right now at Loma Linda but I'm thinking I should have everything I need to have done now.  I'm even thinking of trying to get a revision on my WLS.  But I'm thinking they won't do that for me.  But I guess if I don't ask I'll never know. I'm just so tired of being poked, proded and sliced and diced.

Hope you are feeling good today or at least better.  Almost time for me to go home and call it a day.  Oh come on 5 o'clock.

Good Morning Chris and the Cali Gang.

It is another Monday morning here in the hot high desert.  I am so tired this morning.  I accidentily set my clock an hour ahead when my power went out.  I woke up at 3:30 instead of 4:30 and when I realized it, I tried to go back to bed but I couldn't sleep.  I hate days like that.

I had my 6 year suriversary on Saturday.  I can't believe it has been 6 years.  I thought I would have lost more by now but I know I sabotage myself.  I am trying to get back on track and be accountable for what goes in my mouth but it is easier said than done some days.  Oh well...I just have to take it one day at a time.

Good Morning Chris and Cali guys and Gals!

Have you tried a little bowl of vinegar in the area?  I use that and it works for me.  I told Diane and she said it helped her.  It is worth a try and a lot cheaper than an exterminator.  Smell funny, but also better than chemicals from an exterminator.  Today is a lot of running around and meetings and such.  Get to hook up with a gal pal for some coffee and some needed chatting.  If I have time I am going to run to Yuciapa to the fresh market and pick up some supplies.  I also have to hit Costco some time this week and pick up some stuff for these young'n or they will starve to death or something.  (they don't do well without thier soda, chips, cookies, candies, and general junk food).  God forbid they would eat a piece of fruit or a salad, and they are all as thin as rails  go figure.

Well I better go and clean something, maybe even myself as I have to leave in a bit.  Hope you all have an awesome day and really enjoy yourself.  Stay cool and hydrated.
