Orange County Support Groups

Are there any support groups in or around Fullerton, Anaheim, Yorba Linda , Brea or at least near by?

I live in Fullerton. I also know of the OC support group that meets in Huntington Beach on the first Tues or Weds of the month. This Sat is the LB coffee get together. You might want to join in on that one, but I have to warn you...everyone is super fun and you'll want to comeback everymonth!

Hello and Julie gave you the full scoop.  You can find groups near you by clicking on GROUPS and then inserting your city and this will provide a list of groups that you can attend.  Otherwise, here is some information that might be helpful.

Please feel free to come to any of the following meetings as they are all different and unique and there are no expectations, just people who have had weight loss surgery (wls), thinking of having wls and/or just people who want to meet others in similar situations.

There is the Orange County WLS Support Group that meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month outside the Starbucks next to Barns and Noble in the Bella Terra (Huntington Beach Center at the 405/Edinger or the 405/Beach).  This meeting is informal.  This meeting starts at 6:00 pm, however, not everyone can make it right at 6:00 due to traffic and work schedules.  It is okay to be late.  Also, we may change the location in the future. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5th.

The Orange Pacific Bariatrics Group meets from 6:30pm - 8:00pm on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Ermeritus Senior Residence located at 200 N. Dale Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801, 2nd Floor.  Sign in at the reception and take the stairs to the 2nd floor. Nancy Mogote is the leader of this Support Group.  I am the assistant leader for this group.  This meeting is informal. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11th.

There is also the LB Coffee House gathering on the last Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. at 2890 Bellflower Blvd in Long Beach (Kmart/Lowes Center at Spring Street and Bellflower).  Jean will post a reminder each month about this group meeting.  This group has a clothing exchange each month and is very informal, but lots of fun. The next meeting is scheduled for July 25th.
