Stricture is back!!!!!!!

Yep...She's back!  in full force!  I called Dr. Chin today and for the first time since surgery almost a year ago..... he was actually the one that called me back.  I almost fell on the floor.

He is going to refer me back to Dr. Lee (UCI) for a possible stent.....sound familiar?   yep I know.  But it's been 7 or 8 weeks since my last dilation so hopefully it's closed enough to have the damn thing put in this time.  If not...... it looks like this will be the LAST time I will be dilated.  Dr Chin said if it does not work then the next step is surgery.

Please pray that this works.  If I have to have surgery again, he said the recovery time will be just like the first surgery...2-8 weeks.  I know what everyone is going to say here, but I cant take anymore time off from work.  If I do.....I will be homeless.  I absolutely cannot afford to have this surgery done for at least another year from now....once I have accumulated more vacation time.  It just has to work this time.

I am becoming malnourished.  I am now B1 deficient and B12 deficiant, even tho I am taking supplements.  I am 10 pounds away from my goal, but something tells me I will be hitting that really soon.

WOW!!! You have really been through it!!!!  I'm sorry to hear you're having problems again.

As for the taking time off work part....my employer has what is called Catastrophic Leave Program where employees can donate vacation time to other employees in need....any chance you have that available to you?

What a great thing to offer, but no, my company doesn't offer anything like that .

Hi Linda,

You know you have my full support and positive thoughts coming your way.  Have you talked to your doc about B-12 shots?  I give hubby them monthly because he was deficient when taking the pills.  My previous offers stand.

Not yet.....I have to recheck in 2 mos. if at that time it's still low then I will start the shots.  and as far as the B1- I am taking a B1 supplement now too.
