OT: prayer request

Hi All,

My sister Jane is having an elective double mastectomy with breast reconstruction this afternoon.  Please send up a special prayer for her and the surgical teams that will be working on her.

When I spoke with her last night she was in really good spirits and feeling good about her decision to have the surgery.

Your sister is definitely added to my daily prayers. I wish her a safe and successful surgery and recovery. I pray that our Father guides her surgeons hands and skills throughout the entire procedure.  I also add you to my prayers...I wish you peace and serenity as you await the completion of the surgery.

And I so hope to see Saturday!?

I am so sorry that your sister has to go through this surgery. I will definatly be saying prayers for you and her as well as your whole family. I will keep all of you in my thoughts today. I will pray that the surgeon's hands be guided and the surgical team are proficient in their jobs.
I am glad she has a positive attitude, that is really helpful during recovery.

Thanks Michelle...Jane has had treatment for breast cancer twice before but opted for lumpectomies with radiation and chemotherapy.  When I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer we had the BRCA test done....  and you guessed it....we tested positive for the BRCA gene and this surgery comes as a recommendation from that.
