IT IS WEDNESDAY WEIGH IN DAY - HOW YOU DOIN?
I am NOT picking on you, Rhonda LOL I was looking for support in my request that Rick put up a new avatar. Even Kim agreed with me!! And you gave me so much grief about my avatar, I just figured the Queen NAG (you do wear a lot of different 'hats', my friend;-) ) could use another 'subject' other than me ROTFL
So, come on, Rick! Get that camera out, smile real pretty and send it to Becky..she needs something to do while sitting around looking skinny ^_^

Good Morning Jillie and Cali Friends,
Jillie, have a wonderful time on your trip and a big pat on the back to a super mom who has done an amazing job with her sons. Give your son a big high 5 from us and tell him thank you too.
Chris, hope the ants (and uncles) are soon gone for good! I stayed the same weight this week, no loss, no gain. That's ok, those weeks happen.
Yesterday Ron and I went to East Bay Works and Experience Unlimited, it is sponsored by EDD, Unemployment. It's actually done quite nice and there are lots of computers, copiers and phones there for folks to use. There were so many people there. A friend had told me about Experience Unlimited which is more for management/professional level folks and so we strolled back there and met some really neat folks who inspired us. He was telling Ron that he has seen a number of educational counseling intern positions that he should check in to. Ones that will pay him a small amount while he gains experience and ones that may even pay his masters if he agrees to stay on with them for a while after it. So there's hope there.
Today I should be getting my car back, apparently they had to take the dash board out and replace something to do with the heating and air conditioning unit. UGH, not a good time for an expensive car bill, but it beats a new car payment.
So that's about all the news fit to print from my neck of the woods. Hope you all have a wonderful day and do something good for yourself.
Hugs,
Barb

Oh Barb, you mentioned how we share so many things in common; guess that includes our vehicles LOLOL Lon took the little motorhome in to have the a/c recharged...when he pulled into AAMCO, he started leaking fluid..from the WATER PUMP!! A 'little job' (about $200) turned into just under $900!! And, of course, 'recharging' the a/c..well that became more complicated than orginally thought...something about a special pressurized hose having to be replaced? No choice but to have the work completed; next month we're going to Washington state and then camping the weekend after we get home...can't travel without the a/c...and obviously, can't go ANYWHERE without the water pump :-( Misery loves company wouldn't ya say!
See ya Saturday!

Hi Chris,
Total so far is 135 pounds.....
I think the last time I updated was in the early part of June. So I guess I hit a stall for a couple of weeks which is fine by me because I was just losing to darn fast in my book. Spread it out however you would like....Will let you know what the official weight from the surgeon is compared to my scale
Try to stay cool................Rick

Good morning California!!
The scale moved for me, but just a smidge. I am down 1.8 lbs. I haven't budged in over 5 weeks. Its partly due to me not moving around enough to break a sweat..lol (doc's orders) but still..I KNOW I can move more than I do now....summer just makes me go sloooooooooooooowweeerrrrrrrrrr..lol The little bit I did drop is in part because I am changing the way I am eating again. I'm just plain doing better! I need to, to be an example for my daughter. My beautiful 18 yr old daughter has FINALLY been diagnosed with PCOS, a hormone disorder that I KNEW she has had since age 14. Her pediatricion kept blaming her weight on being a lazy teen. My daughter has worked out regularly for 4 years and her weight never changed. Well, I was fat so therefore, my daughter was fat....it was very clear her doctor felt that way. I got her to an endochronologist this week (Monday), the doc confirmed at that very visit that my daughter is PCOS. Heck..I've been PCOS since age 20..I KNEW what I was seeing in my daughter. Now, with so many years of neglect, (including my allowance of her sometimes poor eating habits) she has developed pre-diabetes and has suffered with secondary male gendar charastistics, but she is now on medication and on her way to better health...including a new lifestyle eating plan (ADA). She would not follow a lifestyle eating plan before, but now she is right on top of it....counting every calorie and checking her blood sugar. Right now she is involved in a "24 hr. urine catch". She comments on how underrated going potty is..lol She says, "Damn..peeing is just too much work for the doctor's uses"..lol She will never take peeing with ease for granted again..lol (All her urine must be save in a sterile container and refridgerated over 24 hrs.) She starts low dose estrogen (BC pill basicaly) and a testosterone inhibitor. No more shaving her face twice a week, battleing horrific mood swings and suffering linea negria (dark patches of skin) if this treatment goes as planned. She will however face diabetic conditions and infertility her entire life. My children were the products of fertility treatments. When I was diagnosed with PCOS, there was no treatment and diabetes was not factored in...atleast not by the doctor at the free clinic I attended as a 20 yr old. I was diabetic after my first pregnancy 27 yrs ago.
Anyway, thats my story this week.......you all have a wonderful day and week and prayers and blessings to those in need.
Remember our Armed Forces...the Middle East is facing 120+ degree days and nights...my niece is in Iraq.
love to all...Kim in Fontana
Oh yeah...I will be having an angiogram tomorrow. Ick...needles again!
