Good Morning Calif........

Welcome to this wonderful Thursday. If you look to your left and look just right, you can see the light of the weekend creeping up on us. That is always a good thing. This is my weekend off, but I am already working 12 hours of Double time. YEAH me!!

Not much going on with me. I am just working and keeping ahead of the bills. I am still working on painting the house. I hope to finish this weekend, since I got a notice that I will get another $50 fine if its not finished by the end of this month. But as I told you all before, I think the painting is what started my sinus problem. I really don't want to get that again, but can not afford more fines. So I will get it done this weekend.

My nephews truck broke down again last night, so I had to have it towed home again. That's twice in one month. I have signed him up to triple A so I hope this is my last time having to have towed.  There is something wrong with the transmission and its leaking something bad. He will need to get that fixed as soon as HE can afford it.

I am making some beef jerky and gosh dang the house smells good. I can not wait for the jerky to be done. This is new receipt for me, not sure what it is going to taste like, but if the smell is a clue. This is going to be great jerky.

So what do you have planned for this up coming weekend? Or for the next two days, before the weekend starts?

Morning Cali . .. just today and tomorrow and it's the weekend!  Yea.

I think we need a drum roll . . . we are DOWN 89.6 lbs!!!  Pat yourselves on the back and keep on truckin'.   WAY cool!

Not much else new with me.  I'm looking forward to lunch with the SD gang on Sunday . . . I'm overdue to be part of the group!

My boss comes in from Phoenix today for our evals . . . woopie . . . we see her like 4 times a year (if that) because of firm travel restrictions (which is fine with ME) . . . and I think our categories of performance are:  Crappy, fully as expected, walks on water.  They might have added a new level this year . . . just don't remember . . . and don't really care . .. nothing ever changes - and no raises this year for anyone . . . even when she wrote "Chris has the heaviest workload in the office" . . . oh woopie . .. I get a prize for that?

And ANT update . . . as Laura promised . . . the ants are gone in 3 days using the Terro  . . . of course I have some new spots now . . .but YEA!!!!!

Hi Lori . . .it's a liquid ant bait that the little buggars take back to their nest with them (yea) . . . you put it on cardboard (comes on the package) . . . and they swarm around it . . . makes it look like hairy liquid  . . . anyway it has been working!

I got it at Home Depot for about $3.50 . . . my mom got it in Wisconsin at Wal Mart.  I got another type (can't remember the type) . . . but the ants could care less about it.

Good Morning Lu and the Cali Crew!!

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday.  I am so over work this week.  I am ready for a new job.  If I could survive on unemployment, I would let this job go but I can't.  It is so hard to work around people that are mean to you all the time.  My boss threatened us with our jobs yesterday.  She said if we don't get loads for our trucks, she is going to have to let some of us go.  Like I can make load materialize out of thin air.  I can't help it if the economy is bad and nobody is shipping freight out for our trucks to move.  I need to get out of this industry.  It is way too stressful.  I did see on the EDDs website an opening for an apartment manager in hesperia.  It is only part time for minimum wage but it comes with a free apartment.  No rent!!  Plus I can work another part time job to make extra money.  I am going to apply today.  Say your prayers for me!!

Nothing else going on today.  Just work and then go home and take a nap.  I hate getting to work at 5:00.  It throws my whole schedule off.  Oh well.
