Miso Soup on Liquid diet??

Ive been trying to think of something more that I like for liquid diet here.  I have 1 more week of it and have only protein shakes and jello.  Im not a huge fan of broth but have had some.

I was thinking.. I might really enjoy miso soup.. and not eat the tofu or leaves in it lol or whatever it is in there.   Or maybe eggdrop soup with just the broth part?

Whats your thoughts on this?  just curious.

I had both, just took all the stuff out of it.

It is a clear broth.

Jackie,

Try straining Progresso soup or chinese hot and sour soup (if you like it) just take the solids out.  They will have more flavor than broth (I don't like broth either).  How about frozen popsicles (sugar free)?  Just a couple of suggestions.

Jackie, I think both of those should be fine.  When I was on liquids, I always ordered soup when I went out to a restaurant and spooned out just the liquid, leaving any chunks behind.  I also sometimes strained soups at home--they seemed to have so much more flavor than plain broth.  I still enjoy protein-enhanced instant soups like those made by Proti-Diet (more so in winter than in summer)--no chunks in most flavors, but rich and creamy, with 15 grams of protein for only about 80 calories.

As always the advice you just got here was great!  Miso soup would be wonderful less the chunky parts.  Egg drop wow!  I wish I would have thought about that instead of having all that yucky chicken broth.   Don't forget your sugar free popcicles, those saved my life, I think.

Thanks everyone!  I sooooooo appreciate your comments and Im going shopping for soups to strain tomorrow lol whoo hoo  I feel happy!    and yes I have my sf popsicles too.   funny Im trying to add up calories and Im not even getting to 500 jello - 15, broth - 15, popsicle - 15  protein shake - 150.  Never had this problem before :)

I suppose as long as I get the protein and liquids I should be ok for now.
