Happy Friday Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1. Our Nor Cal Luncheon is tomorrow and it's the biggest one yet.... 29 friends all together to support each other... WOW!!!

2. That my new bookcases came in for my (mostly my Mom's) cookbook collection and I now have room enough to find and pull out a book!  It brings a smile to my face to open one of my Mom's books and see her handwriting and comments on a recipe she'd made.  Man I sure do miss her!

3. Today is the end of the work week and I don't feel like I have to job hunt on Sat or Sun, I can enjoy.

4. That Katt has a job interview today, I know what it's like Katt... it sucks being out of work, you go girl and NAIL THAT JOB!

5. For my OH friends who give me love, support and unending friendship, you are so special!

Grace and mercy because I make a lot of mistakes sometimes.

Goodmonring Barb!  Today I am thankful for......

1.  God's blessing of a sense of humor! 

2.  Freinds that don't get mad at you when you spit coffee all over thier carpet because you are laughing so hard.

3.  Friends that you can share you deepest feelings with and they just give you a hug or a knowing smile.

4.  The hoostpa to try on pants in the isle of Kohl's and giving security a great big thrill.

5.  The  courage and strength to stand up and say I screwed up,  mean it and want to change, and start the process.

 
That is what I am thankful for this moment!

Today I definitely have things to be thankful for

All my usual thankfulness which is to love and be loved by my son and my "ummmmmmm" as well as my extended family many of whom still live by the beach

But on a short term thankfulness I'm thankful I'm spending this weekend at the beach.  I just want to sit in the sand and feel the cool ocean breezes and watch the waves lap against the shore.  I will be in my glory.

I'm thankful I have a good job and it's secure, which enables me to have the money to go to the beach.

I'm thankful I have a car in good working order that will drive me to the beach

OK, in case you all haven't realized it yet, I'm going to the beach this weekend and I'm way too excited for my own good.

Barb, I can so relate to missing mom.  I miss mine too.  I'm glad you have the book cases for her books.  May you have many happy moments going through them!!

You know I sound like a recording here when I say this,
but these last few weeks of my life have really been horrible for me.  I am an active person, if not out and about, I constantly clean my home, well, because I like it. Having to sit on my butt for this many weeks has near driven me to insanity at times. 

I am thankful for all of you.  All who have taken the time to call me, just to chat, those people that have visited me, my friends who have actually done things around my home that I can't do.  The love and support and blessings that I recieve from all of you.  I can only say THANK YOU to you all, there is no way I can ever repay any of you for what you have done for me.  In the next few weeks my entire life will once again change.  The doctor said I will never be the same again, because the surgery will be so extensive, but I know that you are all here, and that is comfort that will make me feel great~
