Good FRIDAY Norning

Good morning Diane and all of Cali

Well Diane, my weekend began in my head sometime around Wednesday.  The fact that it's now finally really here just makes it that much sweeter.  I work way to hard for an old broad.

But this weekend does bring fun.  Mike and I are off to the Garlic Festival in Gilroy and to see his nieces in Santa Cruz. They are meeting us at the festival and then we'll all head back to Santa Cruz.  I can't wait to get out of this heat for a little while.  I know it's only over night, but just being at the beach is enough for me.  Having been brought up in New York on the beach (my family home was less than a mile from the beach on Long Island) I just get rejuvenated when I'm by the ocean.  What I'm doing out here in the desert is beyond me.  I need water damn it.

OK, enough of that.  Today is our early day at work as well.  Summer hours gets us out of here at 3PM.  By 3:01, this place is shut up like a tomb.  It's really funny actually.  Anyway, you have a good time at coffee Saturday.  I'm sure it will do you good to get out for a little bit.  Just take it easy and take your walker with you please.  Don't try to be a smart ass and go without it.  In a couple weeks you won't have to think about it anymore.  So just go and have fun.

Saturday, I will be going to the knit shop in Santa Monica to meet author Wendy Bennard, who wrote Custom Knits.  Sunday... San Diego or bust!

  YEAH IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Good MOrning All!  I am back from my "Walk-About"  Actually, I went to Sacramento for training and then to San Francisco on the Wharf for a Board of Trustees meeting.  We got to tour a Princess Cruise ship before it headed out to Alaska.  We also had lunch on the ship.  We are looking into booking a group excursion to Alaska (inland passage) and will be getting a group discount!  I will be letting you guys know if anyone is interested you can "glom" onto our discounts!  It would be so cool to get an OH cruise going.

Today brings me day 1 of my 5 day pouch test.  OMG I have been eating like a PIG and all the wrong things.  So, today I get it all back under control. 

This weekend brings me cleaning out my house.  It's a bit trashed and I need to put a good spit polish on it.  It's not that bad, but bathroom need to be cleaned, all the dog-hair dust puppies need to be chased out from under the chairs and shoo'd outside.   Vacuuming, smelly-good sprayed in the carpets, yada yada yada.  You know the drill.  Laundry, put it all away and most importantly not take the hammer to the bald guy's head.  He's turning into such an arm-chair control freak!  We had a long talk before I left and hopefully he saw the error of his ways (i wasn't exactly totally innocent - I was contributing by being snotty) and we've made some adjustments.

Off to work.  Ugh.  Can I just sleep?

Yuck you have to work and everything,  Yucky yuck yuck yuck.  Give me the old mans phone number and I will give him what for, ooh I better not he keeps sending me things on face book, and I keep killing things so I better keep him as a friend.  Have a super day my dear.  Talk to you later.

I got the old man back in line!  No worries there.  Plus I get to take him to physical therapy where the physical terrorist will hurt him more if I tell them to!!!!  JK, it's all good. 

Protein drink in (no frozen fruit, just protein powder and strawberry protein water) broth for lunch along with green sf jello.  Is it nap time yet?

Just a quick write-by...TGIF!!  Diane, I wish you the best on your outing tomorrow..just take care and don't hurt the back anymore!  But the fresh air and seeing friends will be great for you psyhie ^_^

Michelle and SueBee...Happy Birthday once again...we aren't getting older...we're getting BETTER! LOL

Everyone seems to have a busy weekend planned, me included! LOL  Professional pictures at church tonight (can you believe that I'll finally get Lon out of his jean shorts??! LOL), No Cali lunch tomorrow and Sunday, if I can find where it is being held, a model train fair somewhere here in the Sacramento area. (Lon's passion is trains, especially steam).  Weather is still beautiful here, mid 90's but might reach 100 on Sunday...I can live with that ^_)  Have a great weekend everyone!

Good Morning Diane and Cali friends,

Diane, I'm counting down the days with you until your surgery and sure sending your good thoughts and prayers for a new back.

Happy Birthday to both Michelle and Sue Bee, hope your special days are filled with all of the things you had hoped for.

Yesterday I didn't get my car back as planned, I got a call instead saying that they broke the part putting the dash board back and had to order it again.  It is supposed to be ready today,,, UGH.
We went over and visited with my FIL and Ron gave him a much needed haircut and beard trip, OMG hed looked like a new man and felt SO much better.  He released a belly laugh that I hadn't heard for months, so I do think he is feeling better too.

Today brings a visit to my Dr. and a review of my recent lab work.  He's such a great doc and so supportive of my decision to have WLS, I think he enjoys seeing the progress I am making too.

Tomorrow is our Nor Cal Luncheon, can't wait to see everyone, it will be our biggest luncheon to date with 29 people there!  Whoo hoo.  Chevy's here we come!  I hope our south state friends have a great time at your gatherings this weekend too, we'll be there in spirit.

Happy Birthday to Michelle, and Sue Bee. I hope you both have a fantastic day.

I am counting the minutes down till work is done. Only 10.5 hours and it will be over for the weekend. This hasn't been a great week, and I am ready for it to be over as well. Work yesterday, was one of the worst I have seen in a long time, and I wasn't even totally involved in all the goings on, but it effects everyone in the unit. Anyway, enough of the sad stuff.

Looking so forward to the Lunch tomorrow. Chevy's might never be the same with 29 of us there.
