Good FRIDAY Norning
Happy birthday to michelle, and sue!
And happy last supper tonight to michelle and to crystal! (I'll be at that one).
It's beautiful to hear all of the great plans and activities going on, and I look foward to seeing many of you tomorrow....and some of you tonight!
The men are still here tearing up the house! The old window is out, and re-framed for the stucco guy who is coming tomorrow. The new window is in (it's TINY compared to the one I had, but appropriate for above a shower).... there is a huge hole in the ceiling in that room for the attic access ladder.... oh, and they found the remains of un grande raton up there (RIP, ratty)... quite dead. I prefer no rats at all, but, if they must be there, i like my rats dead.
Ah.... this all makes me think of something. The demolition phase of construction is messy, noisy, inconvenient, and a whole bunch of other unpleasantness. BUT....in order for a new dream to become reality, the old has got to GO, which, unfortunately, does not happen with an "I Dream of Jeannie" blink.
How is this like our lives? In what areas do I wish for a dream to become reality? And, am I willing to endure the mess, the noise, and the skeletons of dead things in order for the beautiful NEW things to come to pass?
Calorie-free food for thought on this Friday....
love to you all...
