My little Frankie is in surgery
This morning when I got up at my normal time of 5AM Frankie didn't want to get up. This is new for him. Most mornings he is out of bed, down the hall and sitting at the front door by the time I turn off the alarm. He loves going out to play in the grass. So, I thought, that's weird, and I went and checked on him. He was fine, or looked fine, but just not ready to get up. I thought OK, I have mornings like that, so I went about my morning getting ready for work.
When I left at 6:40, he was up waiting for his morning snack. (vitamins) and he seems fine. At 9 DD called and said something was wrong with him. He didn't want to move around, and cried if you touched him. I told her to call the vet and make an appointment. She got an appointment for 4:45. I thought all was good, but then she called and said, he can't wait, he needs to go now, he is whining and curled up in a small tiny little ball and will not move. (this what I was dealing with Kat when you called SORRY!!!!) So I made a few calls to the vet and was able to take him right then. So I left work, came home and picked up. We where at the vets by one, and by 3 he was in surgery. It one of his annul gland that needs to be drained. Its infected and if it had burst, and could have sent the poison throw out his body, making him very sick.
This is something new to me. Never heard of anything like this happing. He will have a drain and he will have to wear a C-collar for a few days. (Rhonda, can he come stay with you, that drain thing might make me sick
) For once I am happy I am working tomorrow. Unless they cancel me for leaving early today.
I get to pick him up tonight at about 545. My poor little thing. I think the only person, beside Lisa, who knows just how small Frankie is, is Rhonda and her family. He is just 4 pounds. Can you say TINY!!! I feel so bad for him, but know that I am doing my best for him right now.
I will update you all about Frankies butt later..........Come on, You know you want to hear about his butt.

Awww Lu, give him lots of snuggles when he gets home. He'll probably be groggy, but by tomorrow he'll be feeling better. Not back to normal, but I'm sure much better. Sorry you both are having to go through this. I know how much you love your fur babies. Keep me posted.
You know, once he's feeling better, maybe a trip to Vegas would cheer him up. Then again, maybe not. LOL
Thinking of you.
Love ya,
Steph
