Good Sunday Morning!

Howdy there Cali Crew!  I'm suprised nobody's started the thread and it's already 9:30 am!  So, here I am starting it.  Somebody else is probably hard at it as I type.

Not even going to try a magnificent shout out as others have done.  Me, I'm getting my house cleaned up.  Still have the living room to do - had a choice yesterday.  Clean the living room and evict the dust puppies or go to a bbq and have a great time with friends.  Guess which won?  Let's just say I still have a living room to clean.

I am going to get my car fixed as a result of this bbq.  We have a friend who is a mechanic and has been laid off for the last 8 weeks.  We didn't know they were having such financial hard times, so he's going to come to the house this week to replace the front rotors and brakes on my car.  They have gotten so bad...... whop whop whop whop when I step on the brakes.  Since we have to drive to Sacramento on Thursday evening to catch our flight to VEGAS! on Friday morning, I'd like the brakes in tip top shape.

I'm headed out this afternoon to go pick up Jayden.  Also finishing up paperwork to get the 3 of us our passports in anticipation of our Alaska cruise and our Cananda cruise we're going to take this next year.  Jayden's paperwork is a bit more complicated.  Both his momma and his daddy have to show up at the same time and apply for it.  So, we'll plan a day trip, meet momma in Arcata, pay the fees, sign the papers, etc etc etc.

My protein shake is in, vitamins in and my first 20 oz of water is in.  It's going to be 112 here today (super ugh) so everyone stay hydrated.

Sounds like you have a busy day gal pal.  You are good about the water, I am working on it.  Vegas should be fun.  Who are you going to see?  You told me and with my mind I can't remember yesterday!  lol.  Isn't Javier's new picture cute?  He is a sweetie!  I like this new one better than the last one!  lol.  Well I got my passport ready.  So lets plan this darn thing!  Should be a blast.  Diane wants to come and her back should be fixed up real good by then, or we will have to carry the whole way.  But thats what friends are for.  and I got this cool scooter if I can ever get Becky off of it, she thinks she is like Evil Kenivil on the darn thing, and if she comes her and Diane are going to have a bout as they will both be fighting over who's turn it is to ride it!  Oh well enough of that.  Have a super duper weekend, give Jaden a big hug and If I don't talk to you have a blast in Vegas.  I just may have to drive over there and poke you or something!  lol

When I get the details, I'll let you know!  The good thing about these is we can book it and you can pay a bit each month on it up until 6 weeks before you leave  And, the more people we book, the lower the price gets because after 8 people we get a free booking (or something like that) and we just spread the savings out over everyone! 

Vegas is a suprise  I know nothing other than that we're going and it's celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary which is Sunday August 2nd.  Ahhhhhhhhh, I do love that man.

I want the scooter!  I have to have the grape out of my leg and have to have stitches!  Tell her it's my turn on the scooter!  I'll ride you around on the handlebars, k?

I just wanted to tell you to have a fabulous time in Vegas! Its probably just as hot there if not hotter. lol!
Things happen for a reason, so going to the BBQ was supposed to happen. One, so you could help a friend out and two so you can get your brakes and rotors done.
Those cruises sound like so much fun! I know you and Joe have both missed Jayden. I am sure it was a long week!

Good morning MoMo and Cali Crew. Had a wonderful time with the High Desert peeps last night. My son went with me. Apparently there was a fire or something at the Orginal Roadhouse Grill, so we ended up at Mimi's for dinner. It was great to see Kevin and Kirsten. Too bad they couldn't stay for dinner, but loved that they made an appearance anyway. After dinner we headed over to the Rustic Tavern for Karaoke. That was a lot of fun, as usual. We theft the bar about 12:30am but didn't get home until almost 3am. There was an accident at Oak Hill Rd that shut down all four lanes of the freeway. I hope Heather, Kevin and Kirsten didn't stuck on the hill for two hours the way we did. I have pictures from the Mardi Gras themed birthday party and will post the link as soon as I can find my camera. Needless to say, I am not making it to church this morning. Didn't get to bed until about 4am and didn't get to sleep until 5-6am, so I am running on about 3-4 hours of sleep. It is supposed to hot today so remember hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!! Good morning, cali friends!! What a fun day yesterday was! I put a few pix on my profile, but I also set them so you have to be my "friend" here on OH in order to see them... sorry, but, if you want to see them ya gotta be my friend. Won't you be my neighbor? LOL...

Man, i can't tell you how I felt the love yesterday. From being with some former students from the class of 1994 at a reunion in the morning, to lunchtime w/my OH buddies, and then off to a speedboat ride in a Scarab! Purple, with flames on it, no less! My friends went so fast, my top nearly blew off! LOL... I think that's the dude's old dating strategy...:)

Thinking of Monica, and Catt, and my other friend George, all who are running the SF race today... they are probably even done already, huh?

We've all been through a lot here on this board, in our personal lives as well as in our relationships. Change and trasformation is never easy and never comes w/o a cost, but it is a good thing. I think of my house remodeling... I hate the time of things being torn up and dusty and disheveled (that's one of my fav words, BTW), but I keep in my head a vision of what is COMING that is strong enough to take me through the pain of transformation.

That quote is from a life-coaching 4 day training I've been through...not my own brilliance. But I love it and it helps me in everything... remodeling...weight issues...relationships.

So... i'm waxing eloquent today because I have the time...i'm taking a lazy "me" day.... and I hope that you all have a happy day, too!!
