Greeting from me!

Hello hello members and family of the Cali WLS forums. *stands and hold her head up* My name is Katrina or Kat for short.

I am just starting my classes for WLS, and I am really excited and fearful at the same time. I looked long and hard on where I wanted to get some real life answers, and feed-back on issues I have and questions that pop into my head at night...

I figured this would be a location I liked, I formerly ran a message board so I know the system and how it works at all hours of the day. I know each and every story is going to hold a lifes lesson for me to learn from and I get the 'right from the source answers' I wanted.

nothing personal, Katrina, but our state board right now has had some tough times, and I think without a photo, and access to your profile, or someone who knows you, it might be a tough time to have a pseudonym and a mysterious avatar.

Just thought I'd let ya know! We're a friendly bunch, but the caution flag is flying right now.

People will be more than happy to help you here, but as Lori said, we've had some difficult times here lately with certain people and it's best to come out with a real picture of yourself and a detailed profile.

Where do you live, who's doing your surgery, where are you taking your classes,  when is your surgery, how did you find OH.  Just some things that would tell us all a bit more who you are.  Once everyone is comfortable with you, I'm quite sure you will be welcomed fully.  Just bear with us the insecurities that all are currently feeling.

I work in Anaheim California for Disney.
I dont know who is doing my surgery as its not planned yet.
I am taking my classes in West Covina California.
My Dr told me I had to lose weight if I wanted to see my son grow up and my insurance is covering all but 10% of the cost.

I was not refered here I stummbled across it in some information searches I was doing on Weight Loss.

I have been reading peoples profiles and posts and thought it was a nice community. I can understand your reservations on someone knew popping into your world. I dont mind.
