Hi Lu and the rest of the Cali Crew,

I have a reletively boring day at work other than waiting for the Governor's press conference on the state budget.  I am glad that drama is coming to an end for at least a few months.  My job will again get crazy once the annoucements are made and the analysis is released because I'll be responsible for writing a lot of new statements for the Assemblymember I work for.

Barb - I love your cheesecake story.  I hope I am there someday where what I used to love is just sickly sweet and undesirable

Lu- I am glad to hear Frankie is doing better.  I love our four legged fuzzy friends. We have two cats that I adore.

Janeene - good luck in pursuing your nursing degree.  I know that takes a lot of study.  Nurses are so needed and in demand and what they do is so important.

Here's to a good Tuesday!

Morning Lu and Cali!!!!  Today I am off to Human Resources to turn in my doctors release and see when my first day back is. I am also going to be fitted for new uniforms, which I am really excited about. I never could wear their pants so it will be the first time for me with them, I told them to start with a 12 so we shall see. As for the top, I was in an 18, so that should go down alot. Expect a report when I get back!

Lu, so glad Frankie is doing better! Cool about the vet checking the other dogs for free and being understanding!!!

Chris, glad the tumor is shrinking, but more chemo sucks! She is in my prayers for disappearance of the tumor and that you son finds out this week about getting his job!

Naomi, have a blast and win big!!!!

I hope everyone has a great day today!  bigg huggs, Becky

Good morning Lu and Cali...nothing much on the agenda today. The hubs and I are giving the Gift of Life (blood) today. It will be my first time, but I hear that it's no big deal. I am supposed to hear by today if I get a second interview with the company in Riverside.

Thanx to everyone for the comments on Sue Bee's birthday photos. It's much appreciated. XOXOXO

Lu -  Glad Frankie's butt is better and that the girls are okay as well.

Chris - So sorry about your DIL's continued chemo, but awesome news that the tumor is shrinking.

Naomi - Have a great time at State Line. Been years since I've been out that way. Play a dollar for me! lol

Diane - Let me know if you need anything. I would love to help in any way possible. Give me a call. I lost your phone #. =(

Rhonda - I hope you get everything resolved with the 'Hacker;.

Janeene - Congrats on continuing you nursing education. That is a great accomplishment.

Barb - Good luck on the job hunt. I know how hard it is to get a job right now.

Michelle T. - It was good that you saw your family yesterday. Maybe they will step up to come see you after surgery. You never know. Stranger things have happened.

Heather - It's sweet that your boys include the OHers in their prayers. It shows that they are being raised to be compassionate, which is lacking in a lot of kids these day. Great job with them Heather! lol =)

Well, That's it on my end. I hope everyone has a great day, Remember to sip, sip, sip. It's gonna be a hot one. Be good to yourself and those around you.

Hey Lu, and Cali -

Today I am feeling a little morose. As part of school, and registering with the Disabled Students Program and Office, I had to get a school form filled out by my psychiatrist on my diagnosis and severity of my illness. I have just seen him recently, and I thought I was starting to do okay, but I got a reality check when I read the form he filled out.

I guess I need to learn to accept myself, and embrace the part of me that is good and not messed up. And try not to get sick of all the stupid medications I have to take. I think I dislike that part most of all.

Anyway, sorry to be such a downer. It's just that kind of day for me. Hope everyone else is having a good one!

Thanks, Katt - the day went way better than expected, given my funky mood this morning. I'm pretty sure I got an A on my mid-term

Afternoon Lu and Cali gang
Started out to say good morning..but noticed the clock says after 1pm..so guess I'm a dollar short and a 1/2 day late ;-)  The Boss was in the office this morning...that always screws things and timing up LOL  So instead of finishing up year end books, I did some computer maintenance and installing the new Office 2007 on my laptop here in the office.  I feel all dis-jointed..out of synch :-(

Went to support group last nite; if it's any consulation to anyone here, 'drama' is everywhere!  Had a 'scene' between 2 of the guys, 1 is 2years out, lost over 250lbs and 1 is a newbie, had surgery the same day I did. Newbie thought he could tell the 'oldster' what was wrong with his program...needless to say, 'oldster' didn't take kindly to it.  And my other support group, best way to describe that 'drama'...too many 'chiefs', not enough 'indians'.  Battle of egos for who is going to 'run the show'....man! Human nature...we are something else...and sometimes I get so disappointed in 'us'.  But, we are resilent! We bounce back and move forward...

Now it is time to jumb over to Barb's thread..What am I Thankful for LOL  I'm thankful for all of you!  Prayers to all, surgeries, tumors, backs, job hunting, gambling! and any of those traveling on our freeways and backroads. And if all your doing is laying around the pool?    Cus I'm jealous!! LOL    Ok, time to go back to work...have a great day everyone!
