weight gain after 5 years
Hi, I used to come here all of the time and get a lot of help from many wonderful people. I had my RNY 5 years ago. Ater many surgeries for complications I finally got straightened out. Now I'm having a problem: I have gained some weight (15 lbs.) I have been trying to lose the weight but am having difficulties. I'm trying the low calorie Healthy Choice way but it's not working. I am so out of the loop that I can't figure it out on my own. Can someone please help me???? I would really appreciate any information anyone can offer. Thanks! It's good to be back
I am newly pouched but have you tried going back to basics?
- Protein first
- No drinking with or 30 mins after meals
- No carbonated drinks
- At least 60g (100g from my surgeon) of protein
- At least 64oz of water/calorie-free beverage
- Only good carbs - no sugar / processed junk.
- Vitamins

Thank you so much. You know, my first thought was protein. That was key in the beginning but so easy to stray from. I have noticed that low calorie doesn't cut it, so it must be the protein that I need to keep with. I don't have to worry about too much sugar because I dump from it. I didn't at first but have since developed problems with it. I do my vitamins and lots of water. Thank you again for responding and reaffirming what I believed (proteins!)
