Good morning all,

Hope all is well with everbody. Today is being spent looking for an Instructors Course for my CPR certification through the Averican Heart Association. Been wanting to do this for a while now and sine I have time on my hands, figured now be good.

Chris you can put me down for 7 pounds this week. I have been hoping and praying this weight loss will just slow down a tad. I am very thankful that it is still coming off but just seems a little to fast LOL.

Have a great day.........Rick

No Janine is not on vacation,  She is no longer posting on the boards and we do not talk about it on here.  If you have a friend that is active on the boards and was here about 2 weeks or so ago, ask them.  All the posts have been pulled so there is really no way for you to catch up on the situation.  That is all I am going to say.

As for me I am down 2 more pounds...and oh YEAH!!!  I am sure that while I recover from surgery I am not going to feel like eating for awhile, so I expect more to come off.  If I can ever get all this skin removed, I would love to see if I really have a shape or not.

Ok kids, I am done for the day.  Have to clean the room a little, I just can't sit here and see things out of place it drives me nuts.  I can't even stand to see a drawer open a little...can you say complusive obessesive...or whatever they call it.

Everyone now get out here, let's hear about what you lost, and if not, let's just see those smiling faces.

Hugs, Diane

Good Morning Lisa and Cali Friends,

A quick fly by today as I am headed out the door for a job search workshop.

Chris, I am up 1/2 lb today.  I know I am not getting enough protein in and that will change today.

I got my car back yesterday TG and just running around today.

Hugs to all,
Barb

Good Morning Cali Crew!

Chris, I'm sorry but I don't have any numbers for you, but hopefully soon! Yesterday just brought a lazy day of tinkering around the house, doing some last minute cleaning and toying around on the computer. Today brings, packing my bag and making sure everything is set for my return. I leave tomorrow about 8-8:30 am. This evening brings a coffee date with a couple of friends. It should be very nice. Well, thats about it for me, today. I wish everybody a wonderful day.

Hugs, love, & friendship,

Michelle T.

Hi Lori,

I hear you on being able to eat more.  Frankly, it's downright scary and upsetting.  I'm 5 years out and Mike is 4 years out.  We can't eat like we did before surgery, but we can eat alot more and in my case I'm putting on alot of weight because of it and because of bad habits that I've allowed to creep back into my life. I've allowed stress, depression, and health issues to take over and now I'm paying for it dearly.

I had a nice converstaion recently with the nurse who used to work for my surgeon and I was expressing how I think I've "ruined" my pouch.  She said she would be very surprised if my RNY had failed.  She suggested to me that I go on proteins only for 3 weeks.  No fruits, no veggies just protein and then see how my pouch feels.  If it feels tighter it means the tool I was given is still in operation.  Now if I can just get my head wrapped around doing that I suppose I could find out if she is right.

I have been looking into a revision but now I'm thinking that maybe it is me and not wanting to have to diet that is causing all my issues.  I want it to be easy like it was right after surgery.  I guess it's never going to be that way again and I can't run to have surgery every 5 years to make it that way.

Anyway, now that I've rambled on, we can eat more the further out from surgery we are.  It's up to each of us as individuals to learn to make the right choices and to use the tool that was given to us.  I'm going to try to get it all together to take this weight off once and for all and maybe even reach goal finally.  Just be aware of what you put in your mouth.  You can eat more, but if you make it good foods like protein, you'll be ok.
