OT WARNING WARNING

OK I am going to try and post this again.  DO NOT use brown paper bags in the mircowave.  I had to get myself something to eat, went downstairs, threw a bag with something from Del Taco in it, started the mircowave and left for 1 minute.  I smelled something burning....humm, how about opening the mircowave,, and there are flames!!!!  The bag is on fire, everything is burning now..but being a firefighters wife, you don't call 911, you put the fire out yourself and check for extension in the cabinet above.  SO to say the least we will be buying a brand new mircowave now.  Right now, my house smells like a burnt house.  Yuck!  If I drank I think I would be drinking right now, but I don't so I am checking for my meds and see if it is time for another pain pill!

Everyone have a nice day, because mine went from bad to worse!

Love 2 all, Diane

Thanks for the reminder.....how many times do we all try to reheat something in it's takeout container and have not-so-good outcomes.....  Sorry your house is stinky, but glad you're OK.

My son reheated my leftovers from our luncheon last Saturday in the silly styrofoam take-home container and melted it.  And I've told him and myself to "put it on a plate" many, many times.  Aye-chi-waa-waa!!!

My Dear....we learn something everyday...and I have definately learned something new today!!  You take your pill...sit down and bbbbbreeeeeaaaaaaaaaaathhhhhhh!!   You don't need a coronary this close to surgery!
I am so happy you were able to take care of it yourself with no injuries...'cept needing a new microwave.  Have you told Doug yet?
love ya...Kim

Awwwwwwwwwww, don't do that!  You'll get fat again from all the useless calories.  take up pitching cards into a trash can or something like that!  Or, take up facebook and go farm on Farm Town.  Hell, that's addicting, doesn't cost anything and keeps your hands busy and away from your mouth!

Hope the news wasn't toooooo bad!  Sending prayers your way!

Thanks for the warning Diane (and please excuse me for laughing..I've been in the same shoes).  Besides the paper bag and the stryrofoam containers...don't try to warm something up that has syranwrap (sp) over the top!  It too will melt!  Trust me, I found out the hard way...and it doesn't come off, especially if its on corningware or pyrex :-(  Ughhhhh what a mess. LOL

So glad to hear you are ok, tho.  And now I know what Doug does for a living....SuperMan Firefighter!  Definitely one of the Good Guys in my book ^_^  Hope your day goes better...and take care. Surgery is toooo close...^_^

Oh no Diane, as long as you are ok, Microwaves can be replaced. Go relax now and call Dougie and tell him to bring you home a fire fighter's helmut.  You deserve one now.
