Not much going on this weekend, I woke up today with the sniffles, a bit of a cough and a headache; last night at bowling I was a little anxious (more like confused.. *sigh*) and I have a presentation to finish for Astronomy on Tuesday. I want to try and go down to SD and see Michelle tomorrow (hubby has the car today for work), but it depends on how much homework I get accomplished today...

Ooooh... I have iTunes on random right now, and it just started playing "Illuminations"; the ligh****er show from Epcot. I love this track...

Sorry, I got sidetracked. I had my appointment with the Disabled Students Program counselor to get set for fall. She was in a little bit of a hurry, trying to sort out my various medical issues (as the hubby says, I am a "medical mystery"). She asked what kind of medications I have to take, and I told her that I had WLS in February so I was on a ton of vitamins, and she said the one thing I probably was not expecting right then...

She had gastric bypass 5 years ago! After that, we talked for about an hour; she was no longer in a hurry to get me through to get through her pile of files

Anyway, the DSPS (Disabled Students Program and Services) set me up to take all my tests in their office, so I can have a little more time, and a distraction free-environment to take the test in. They also showed me where I could go if I was in "crisis mode". And, they have tape recorders that we can sign out, which works great for me. I'll be paying attention in class, and then my brain will go haywire and I'll miss about 5 minutes of lecture. So the tape recorder will catch everything I miss.

Okay, I've rambled enough. Time for a tall glass of iced tea (my savior on warm days). I hope everyone has a great day!

Wow!  Chris, A lot of exciting stuff going on!  I hope your CA Camping trip is going to be fun for you all!  And sweetie....my fellow bandster, you do a great job at the shout outs!!!  No worries here!

Diane - i know you must be in some major pain.. my sister has had 3 back surgeries and i know they are not fun but I am hoping that this will do the trick for you!

Nikki - I hate the migranes!!!  Luckily mine went away a few years back, but I feel for you and hope you get it under control!

Becky - I'm glad you are doing better!  I know you are feeling much better now!  Can that smile of yours get any bigger???  I love your smile girl!  It makes me smile looking at your pics!  lol

and then Monica!!!  OMG!!!  Oh Happy Days!!!  Congratulations again!!!

Well, I am going to go get ready to go to see the hand surgeon.  He's going to go ahead and take out the stiches today instead of waiting until I get back from vacay......  he says that is a little long for them to be in, so he will just tape them!  Yippee!!!

Morning Chris and Cali crew!!!

Well, I texted with Michelle at 5amish this morning and she seemed ready to go. As soon as I hear from Howie I will be posting for you all. I'm sure she did just fine!!!!   Thank you Chris for going to see her today as I can't and THANK YOU for being you (and you know what that is for), YOU ROCK!!!!!
Today is my first day back to work, woo hoo!!! I am ready, I really missed all my coworkers and the fun of my job! I'm sure it will be tiring to be on my feet for 8 hours again, but I think I will be fine. I am taking my drugs with me just in case, but I haven't been taking them at all, except sometimes when I go to bed. We have 1 chair we share and they already know I may need it more than usual. Wish me luck!!!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!  I will be working and sneeking a visit in to our Michelle before work tomorrow.

I got my stitches out today!  A week early.  He went a head and let me since we arfe goinng on vacation.  Feels good!

Afternoon Cali peeps and Chris
Just finished lunch so it's close to getting back to work. Only good thing about that, other than today is PAYDAY!, is it makes the hours fly by when I'm engrossed in crunching numbers LOL

Suppose to go to the foothills and our 5th wheel this weekend, but we have a funeral to go to on Sunday so Lon is thinking we should stay home.  This is one of the rare times we disagree all the way around...guess I'll know what we are doing when I get home :-(  No matter where I'm at, home or the 5th wheel, I'll be carving...haven't done it in ages...too busy keeping up with all of you! LOL  If we stay home, tomorrow will definitely call for a nice long scooter ride as our weather is just fabulous...high 80's to mid 90's...just perfect!

So that's it for me and my weekend.  I'm keeping Michelle in my prayers...assume she is up and walking by now...and all excited to start her new way of living...how exciting for her ^_^
