I have a huge gripe today...

I found out that my fiance has been going out with someone and lying to me where he has been.  Today he said he is working late but when I checked his text messages I found out he is going to a friends show tonight with a woman who works for him.  She is the one he has been going out with and doing things with while I have been recovering from surgery.  I know I shouldn't have gone through his texts but I had some big suspicions and now i know that I was right, the texts proved it all along.

Can you say I'M SO DONE NOW!  Time to move on I guess.  We've been together over 9 years and engaged for over 6 years.  I don't think its going anywhere and I deserve better.

Girl it was destiny I came on this board today. I was with a man for over 7 years- no marriage nothing. I am telling you this woman to woman- you deserve better and one day you will realize this and it will be the happiest day of your life. Don't think for one second you will never love again. People used to tell me this all the time until they were blue in the face but this is real and I now know this. I don't know you Jackie but I can tell you from experience- if you don't leave this man he will eventually leave you. Take the step and do it. It's going to hurt like hell but 2 years from now you will look back at this and think to yourself why the hell you put up with him for so long. You are waisting your life being with a man like that. It should be all about you and you should be treated like the princess you are. (a lot people told me the same thing on this board a few years ago and today i am getting married to a wonderful man who puts me first and my son in about 2 months. I thought no one would love me and that my life was over before.

I appreciate your mail.  I think this is what I needed to know for sure to get out of this relationship.  Im working on it.. I am moving in with my Mom and once he is moved out of our place I'll end it.  Easier to keep it calm until he is out I think.   I totally thank you for your mail and your understanding!

You are certainly welcome. And that is a start so you should be proud of yourself. It's hard and hurts like hell but in the long run you will see one day it's the best thing you ever did.

I am glad to hear you're kicking him the curb. Jaime is right on too.  I've always had the attitude I'd rather be alone than with someone who rips me emotionally.  9 years is a hard thing to walk away from, but you don't need him!!! You do deserve better. 

Good for you for moving on.  I am excited for you.

I am sorry to hear that you are going through this right now while trying to re-cooperate from WLS.  In my opinion, it is better to move on now without him.  I realize it is going to be heartbreaking after 9 yrs., but you deserve to be treated much better than this.  He must be a complete pompas ass.  You are a wonderful, beautiful person and someone like him does not deserve to have you.  Keep your head up girl, and keep smiling that beautiful smile of your.  I'm hear for you if you need me, and you know all of us friends here on OH will support you 100%.
