Happy Tuesday Morning Everyone

Mo, I'm sorry you had to see Rhonda go, but so happy that you two have found such an amazing friendship. It helps keep me positive that there are good people out there, even if right now you have to deal with what my husband would call "pudknockers" (It's a Right Stuff reference)...

Today I have to give a presentation on a Space Shuttle mission to my Astronomy class. Then tomorrow is our final mid-term; then on Tuesday it's our Final and then that's it for summer. Fall classes start on the 17th. I am looking forward to it. I am taking two classes online (Computer Info Systems - easy A, and Psychology) and two classes on campus (History and Poly Sci). With that schedule I'll be on campus 4 days out of the week, but only for a couple of hours. Then on Saturdays I am going to try and start going to a church in Mission Viejo for their Celebrate Recovery program. It was recommended to me by someone in my Drop In group (psych support)

Also, I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but last week I had my intake interview for the Disabled Students Program and Services Office - and the lady had WLS 5 years ago! Actually, now that I've typed it out, I'm pretty sure I mentioned it before.

J and I went to Idyllwild this past weekend. He went to band camp there a few times during school, and wanted to show me. So we camped out in Hemet (nice enough hotel room, but noisy people next door) and went up the mountain to the Arts Academy to listen to the Symphony Orchestra. They were amazing; a large group of extremely talented kids.

This Sunday I have a shift at the Dana Point Tide Pools / Marine Protected Area from 3p-7p. If you're in the area, come say hello! I'll be in a red vest and more than likely shorts. Easy to find.

Hi all,

Hope everyone has a good day today. It is suppose to be hot and humid here in the Inland Empire today. Was sprinkling a little this morning when I took my wife to work......Not going to be fun.

Today is going to be a re-coop day for me. Had to have some minor surgery yesterday to remove some skin cancer from my back. I am so sore and swollen today its not funny. Have to go back in two weeks to have some more removed and some on my face that grew back removed on the 20th. Just a harsh reminder that we all need to wear GOOD sunscreen if we are outside alot like I normally am.

Unfortunately the one on my face and two more left on my back are Basal Cell. Thankfully they were caught again and hopefully they will get it all this time on my face. But they said they got it last time LOL

glad they caught it, too, rick, and it sounds like you have a good dermatologist... good!!

Yeah...I'm so glad we're getting close to Friday!  Wohoooo!

Good Morning all,

Today brings me one day closer to surgery which is on THURSDAY!!!  Ok we got it?  THURSDAY, the day after tomorrow, 2 days from now,  the day before Friday....ok?

I got a text from Michelle at 0730...which I didn't even read till I woke much later than that.  I now know why I hate weekdays even tho I don't work.  Doug is too noisy in the morning and he wakes me up.  But not this morning, I was out like a light.  I was so glad, I was so tired yesterday, he left yesterday at 0500 and that is what time I stayed awake from.  Now for someone who has nothing to do, literally, except play on the computer all day, it made for a very long long day. I was so happy to have the extra sleep and I acutally woke up to Vicki, jumping up on my recliner, and crawling up on my chest to kiss me.  She is such a sweet little girl, I never get angry with her, just love her like my little girl. 

So today brings, I don't know what for me.  Last night my neighbor brought over dinner and she didn't tell me she was, so I had already ate.  I went downstairs this morning to have some, and saw she briought dinner for the entire family.  Seeing as I don't have a mircowave, I decided to wait and we can have it for dinner tonight.  I have the most wonderful neighbor and friend.  She is a sweet, caring person and I am so blessed to have her as a neighbor. 

I need to start to write things down so I can do a shout out every so often. I love reading all the posts and I do. 
Rick....what a great picture, and my goodness what a difference, you are going to be at goal very soon the rate you are losing weight.

Lu, ...sorry about your phone, I will send you my numbers again, and are you keeping your same number? I have dropped phones all the time, I don't have the huge shoulders to hold the phone on any longer.

Chris...your son got the job up north?? You are going to be very sad to see them all go

Janeene,  you are doing so well in your classes..keep it up and you and your hubby are such an inspiration to so many.  I can't believe he has lost 403 lbs. 

Paula, it sounds like you are having alot of fun in your classes.  You are on the path of things that I find very interesting.  So many things I should have done, and now I am just too old to.  Keep it up.

Gus, Steph, FRIDAY will be here soon.  Just remember each day that you want to go by fast, is another day of your life you won't see again.

TO ALL the newbies, all the people, who are having surgery this week, had surgery this week, thinking about surgery this week....we wish you the BEST...come back and post away.  We're a very friendly group.

Ok, I did alright, OH yeah YEAH MICHELLE, have an easy ride home, Two and a half hours is a long way to drive...wishing you the best.
