good thursday morning

good morning cali crew,

i'm up way to early.. i just thought i'd get the post started.. i already have plans to go to the river sat.. were gonna bbq and go swimming with the girls.. i'm finally happy in a relationship he likes me for me and doesn't want to change me so far.. i had my year checkup with the surgeons office.. i got a clean bill of health whoo hoo.. i also found out that the revision surgery can happen when i lose 27 more lbs... i can hardly wait.. that is awsome.. so i'm happy to say the least.. well that's it for me today.. what is everyone else up too this weekend?  i hope everyone has a great day... Good Morning Calif..........

Its back to work today for me. UGH!! I think the past two days off where the first time in about 3 months that I took BOTH days off. I worked on finishing the painting of my house, cleaned the back yard and gave all the kids a bath. Fresser got a shave job. The all look dolled up. Even KC got a bath, and you know how cats LOVE water. LOL Action KC is not so bad with bathing, so long as you do not get her ears wet. So wounds on me. :-D

Nothing big planned for the next two days, just working. I also work on Saterday already, then on Sunday, some girls from work and I are going to go walking.

I signed DD and I up for swimming classes. They are called Twings. Very low inpact class for DD. Its still a lot for her, but so nothing for me. Felt like I just warmed up and now I need to work out. But I only done it for her, in hopes that she will get out and move alittle more. Today is anothing class, and I hope she goes. I will call her and remind her.

Time dragging, Lu?  Time seems to be standing still.  We can do this.  It will make the adventure all that more wonderful because we waited for it.  Who believes that BS?   Not me.  OK, I'll do some work.  Maybe that will make the day move a little quicker.

Good Morning Cali!

We passed off responsibility of our neighbors cat to our neighbor, Daniel. He's really dropped the ball on that cat. He was gone a month and the cat got sick...Then when he got home, he wasn't there for a full two days before he left again for 4 days! I have to think the cat would have gotten better had he stayed home and loved on her. We took her to the vet and spent nearly $400 on her. Transported her to another facility (big deal there, we're out of money and they surprised us that they'll need another $300 at least for that change... so we had to take her home). We have kept her comfortable and all but she's not long for this world, I'm afraid.

Liver failure is the diagnosis. Sad.

So now that the cat is gone, we can relax again..This weekend is up in the air. I just mentioned the day trip to dh to Hesperia...so maybe. I make no promises but if we show up, we show up..LOL.

Hi Dawn..one of my 4 kitties had liver disease...it started out slow, so I took her in for whatever was ailing her.  Well, $1300+ dollars later, along with 6 weeks of tube feedings (a tube ran from the outside of her body, thru her esphogus and down into her stomach, I had to feed her a special protein diet of pureed meat thru the tube, took 30 min each time) and  now, 3 years later, she is in terrific condition.  She also has an auto immune disease that makes her allergic to her own saliva if she gets a scratch (a $900 diagnosis and treatment...sheeesh.)  I don't know if I would put her or me thru that kind of treatment again, seeing how she has the lupus also.  Sad thing is...we can't just start a treatment and stop midway thru.  I admire you for all you are doing... I also believe 'tis best to let her go.

Just as I suspected last night...Kyla didn't make it. She was just waiting for Daniel to get home. She basically died within an hour of his getting home. She just wanted to be at home and with her owner before she left.

Our old cat, Lucas had FUS (Feline Urinary Syndrome) and that means $36.00 for a bag of food instead of $8...for 8 years and a bill of $850 for that stay. He'd been attacked by dogs twice ($350 each time) and then a coyote tore him up too ($500 - because I chose to have his teeth cleaned that time)...Trouble with that is that because of his FUS, when his teeth hurt from the cleaning, he wouldn't eat. I had to go to the vet clinic in the morning; on my lunch and on my way home to hold some morsels of food so he would eat or his kidneys would shut down..sigh..

This last time he just started wasting away at Thanksgiving, 14 years old. I dont' deal with Thanksgiving anyway because my mother died on Thanksgiving so I force fed him. Forced water and food down his throat for several days until I just gave in and took him to the vet.

My theory is that we do this for them so rather than leave him there, scared and alone to be put to sleep..I held him in my arms until he breathed his last...Not for me, because it was painful as hell for me, but for him that his last moments would be okay...not happy but okay. He didn't purr but he was relaxed. I then took his body home and let the other cats smell him and say their final goodbyes. That's really important too..And then we buried him in the yard near our old dog (they were buddies).

Today is going to be long, lots to do.  I go home tomorrow and will be home for a week then back one more week and that is it.  My staff is getting tired, me too.  This place is mall and kind of claustrophobic!

Vanessa has her first dentist appointment today and DH will take her.  Kind of sad that I cannot be there, but maybe it is for the best.  Maybe she will behave better with mommy gone.

Good Morning Lisa and the Cali Crew!!

One more day till Friday!!!!  I have had a busy week with church every night.  Tonight though, nothing is going on unless my friend calls with my car (I hope, I hope, I hope).  I wanted to hit silverwood with everyone but, I am going to Doheny Beach with my church.  It is going to be a fun day.  The kiddos are really looking forward to it.  I just need to stay in the shade or I will fry like a chicken.

Morning Lisa and Cali!

We had a loss of 28.1 lbs this week . . Wahoo . . . every little bit helps . .. because we're going for 3,000 lbs lost for the year now!

Lisa . . . what kinda of revision surgery are you going to have?  I don't think I've heard you mention that before.

We have Diane in surgery today . . . and a few other WLS surgeries too . . . big day!  (I'm sorry . . . my memory excapes the names . . .but I do remember you are going to be losers today!)

I actually slept in, have had a shower . . . now contemplating gathering stuff up for the weekend . .. have to run some errands with my son today . . . and then RELAX!  Maybe I'll go for a drive . . . oh yeah . . .better get some gas too. lol

Good Morning Cali Guys and Gals!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday so far!  I know I am.  I had a great Birthday, the best ever actually and it is not going to be over till the month is out I decided. Mo is a wonderful hostess, so if you are ever invited to her place take her up on the offer!  Her guest bed is to die for and if I had room in the luggage it would have come home with me!  She makes you think you are at some 5 star hotel or something. Even felt that way in the tent I spent two night in.  I think it is more of the Taj Majal than a tent though.  Today I am out running the streets with a couple of gal pals and just plain old girl time.  I can't wait.  I also have laundry to do, but what else is new?  Well I better get my day started so I will be ready to goof and play.  Everyone have a super day and do something fun and enjoyable today.

Diane will be in surgery today so please keep her in your thoughts and your prayers.
