Good Morning All,

I don't sleep very well because my mattresses are about 22 yrs. old.  Today I am going to buy a new set, I don't care how much they cost.  Being back to work for a week now, my back is just killing me.  I have narrowed it down to three things:  1) not having worked for 3 wks. sitting in my office chair is killing me.  2) with my mattressess so old and not sleeping, my back is killing me.  3) having lost some weight my boobs are still huge and killing my back.  It is my mid - upper back.

Need to take my daughters car in for service, get to the market, do laundry, clean house and maybe a costco run.  In the meantime I need to check and see if my Angel tickets have sold on stub-hub for today or tomorrow.  If not I am going to pull them and either let my son go with some buddies or maybe my husband and I will go.  The things I do for my employers on the weekends while they are off on a 2 week european cruise.

Just a word about your back....this was told to me by my chiropractor as I started to lose weight and started to have really bad back problems.  The spines of obese individuals are basically compressed because of all the weight.  As every 10 pounds disappears, it's like a spring starting to open up.  The spine must readjust and realign and open up some and that will cause pain.  So don't be discouraged if the new mattress doesn't completely do the trick.  Eventually the spine is fully "opened" again and hopefully not too much damage has been done from all the weight.

But you still should get a new mattress. 22 YEARS on the same one.  Oh you are way over due. Enjoy the shopping and the new mattress.

Happy Saturday everyone,

So nice to sleep in a bit today and then not have to rush around getting ready for work.  We were supposed to go up to Silverwood and visit with the campers for a little bit today, but Mike has to go to the office for a few hours so that won't happen now.  We have tickets tonight to see Ralphie May in Ontario and I'm really looking forward to that.

Well time to get some coffee and breakfast.  Hope everyone enjoys this wonderful day and remember do something wonderful for yourself.

Annette, congrats on getting a new mattress. I know they seem expensive, but it is so worth the investment.  Sleep is so important!!! My husband and I bought a great mattress and the difference has made both of our lives much improved.

I am having a no schedule do whatever I want sort of weekend. I am loving it.  My husband is recovering nicely from yesterday's dental surgery. What's funny is is his diet was very similar to mine right after surgery. It makes it easy to prepare food for him.

Yesterday while getting dressed, I had to throw 4 items of clothing in the "too big" pile for Goodwill. It was funny, I kept putting stuff on that I thought still fit. It took me a little longer than usual to get dressed!! It was a good "problem" to have!!!!

I hope you have a great Saturday. I'll be at the gym at some point swimming laps and sitting in the steam room.  AAAHHHHHH........

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!  It's Saturday Night and I'm going out!

Well, I got as far as the market, laundry, cleaning my house and getting my daughters car serviced.  I never got out to look for mattresses.  Not sure now if I can afford it.  I need to put about $2000 per Toyota into my daughters car.  She is only 18, a full time student and works part time at McD's.  There is no way she can help because she makes enough to cover her gas, a little spending money and her toiletries.  I am going to take her car to my mechanic by work who will probably do the work for 1/2 the price.  So for now, mattresses are on hold.  Oh, and the fact that my hospital bill should be here anyday now.  Total out of pocket cost for my surgery $1500.00  Whoo Hooo.  Free is better, but I'll take the $1500.

When it rains it pours.  Well, time for some liquid vicodin because my back is just killing me.  Have a good evening everyone.
