California lapband surgeons?

I personally went to Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana.  I was also self pay.  In researching So Cal surgeons, almost every single one of them were trained by Dr. Ortiz.   I figured if he's good enough to train the US surgeons, why pay 3 times as much to go to someone he trained...why not go directly to the best?  Although it's sometimes a bit inconvienient to travel to TJ for fills (which are ALL done with flouroscopy with Dr. Ortiz....flouroscopy is very expenisve to have here), I am 100% happy with my choice.
