good monday morning
My sibs and I painted a shed in mom and dad's backyard yesterday...it was a very nice family time... and good to do something needed for the folks...
Today, another week of construction here... i gave them a deadline... next friday, 8/21. That's it. I go back to work the following Monday, so....we need to be DONE. They said it's DO-ABLE. 10-4. we shall see, huh?
I've had a couple of not-so-good tummy days.... maybe got a bug... maybe ate something weird at a potluck over the weekend...but not feeling "normal", you know?
just hanging in there...eating the good stuff....drinking my protein...it will all level out soon...
May the Lord bless Diane in surgery and may whatever is wrong be fixed... I ask for healing for her back and body... amen...
Lori
Had a great weekend and looks like a nice hot one ahead. Yesterday we went to visit my father-in-law and Ron gave him another haircut, I know he likes his hair short and seems to enjoy it when Ron buzzes him with the clippers. We even sat with him and watched a little football, and I know he was happy to have a game to watch and someone to watch with him.
Today I will be driving some peaches over to SF to my step mom's. She loves being able to share them with her neighbors, so we'll bring plenty over.
Not much else happening other than job search, but that's an everyday thing so not too exciting.
Hope everyone has a great day and week ahead. Remember water and sunscreen.
Hugs,
Barb
Dear girl..it is never 'rude' to treat yourself right! And you don't have to explain anything either ^_^ Just remember, our new life style is making the correct choices for ourselves...pleasing others was part of the problem and got us where we were before surgery. You've done so well...keep working the tool..you know how to do that! ^_^
My weekend was play and relax. Had a great time picking peaches and yakking over at Barb's on Saturday; cleaned the m/h for our trip this week to Washington, just need to start stocking it; Sunday was a total kick back day reading a book, putsing around on the computer, watching a neat movie and napping LOL
Today is work and the support group which I always enjoy. Got a few things to finish up at work before I'm off so I know the next 3 days will wiz by just because I've got deadlines ;-)
Hopefully, Rhonda will post soon what is up with Diane; hate to hear she had to go back into surgery...she is and will stay on my prayer list...want that girl back home posting and making us laugh with her!
Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Cali Friends,
WOW! It has been forever since I last posted. I was on vacation last week and even though I would read the boards, I still found myself not wanting to post. I am sad to hear that Diane will need more surgery. She is in my prayers!
I am back to work this morning since having a full week off. How come when you have to go back to work, is when you want to sleep in? Hmm..Life! LOL Things are going good for me. The no snacking thing was a struggle while being on vacation. Since I was at homeI found myself snacking more often. I guess, I was bored. Those old habits can sneak up on you when you least expect it. But I am not going to beat myself up for it, since I am able to recognize the signs.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Jules
First, I am very saddened to hear that Diane is back in surgery. I will continue to keep her in my prayers.
My weekend was great. My knitting class got cancelled , so I decided to go to a lys in Long Beach to get some assistance with a couple of projects. I knew I would not get there on time for help, so I went to check out another lys (Liscat). Afterwards, I got something to eat at a nearby cafe.
Sunday, I visited my friend's church. It's small but personable. I am seriously thinking about joining. I need a good church home. Afterwards, I visited and ate dinner at my cousin's house.
Well, I hope everyone have a great week.
More Peace and Love,
Kim
We took the boat out both days this weekend and yesterday I went wakeboarding for the first time ever! Ok, my butt and my thighs are sooooo mad at me today but I keep telling them to shut up (with 2 tylenol). I left yesterday and went and picked Jayden up for his last 2 week stretch before school starts.
Next weekend marks the start of bow hunting season. So, hopefully we'll do good and fill our tags early.
Back to work. I soooo need a nap right about now.
