Good Morning Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1. Another beautiful morning and week that we have been blessed with.

2. The start of football season, I love my 9ers and Cal Bears and hope that they will do great things this year!

3. Getting back on track with my journaling yesterday.  I had been hit and miss lately and just know that in order to be accountable for/to myself I MUST journal my food.

Yep, amazing how journaling the food makes you sit up and take notice.  I started doing it again and boy was I surprized.  I thought I was choosing 'correct' foods...but I've been really really lucky...now I know why the weekly loss was so minimal LOL

Today I am Thankful for:

Another wonderful day to ride my scooter into work.

Another day to be blessed with a job to go to.

That as much as I appreciate my job, I only have to work 3 days and then I'm on a mini-vacation to Washington. ^_^

Your words about journaling were exactly the same thoughts I had!  We are sisters separated at birth, and all along I thought I was an only child!  LOL.

Have fun on your trip, hope you will post cuz I will miss you like crazy!  But if not, we'll forgive you cuz you and Lon are having fun.

Aw, you make me cry, I love you too and so happy you enjoy the posts each day. 

I am saying my prayers for Diane, she's going through so much right now but I know she's going to come out with a new and better back.

I am feeling a celebration road trip coming on, God willing, so I can come down there and give each of you hugs to the max.  A dear friend whom I worked with 2 companies ago, knows the Dir. of HR who will be interviewing me on the 21st and she is going to call her today with a glowing recommendation for me.  I am praying that this is the job I've been waiting for and will be the job that I get.  God knows the answer, I will keep praying that he reveals it soon.

I can't wait to see you again soon!

Hi Barb and Cali Crew,

Today I am thankful for;

1. A normally boring monthly meeting being very interesting today
2. Cool co-workers to discuss almost anything to make the work day more pleasent
3. The tasty watermelon I am eating right now
4. Air Conditioning!!!

I also need to re-commit myself to writing my food down.  I have so many details in my life already with managing my diabetes and work, plus my mom's healthcare, I feel adding a food diary may be too much, but I'll try.

After this weekend I am thankful for...

My mom, who celebrated 80 YEARS of life on Sunday. The same woman who later got mad at me in the afternoon when I was nagging her to do something important for me and said "Hey, have I ever let you down? Leave me alone!"  LOL!

My sister who (in the past) has been a huge pain in the @$$ when it comes to my WLS journey, has been super-supportive of my upcoming plastic surgery.

Home Depot and their helpful staff, because I SUCK as a Do-It-Yourself-er.

Being able to wear a strapless dress in this summer heat. It's the small things that remind me how much better my life is after WLS.

Thankful for all the walking and swimming and wonderful company the entire weekend...

Thankful for the warm weather...

Thankful that my supervisor approved a few vacation days for some fun stuff coming up! Im going to the happiest place on earth.. the happiest place on earth.. oh my!!! doing my happy dance cuz i must be the happiest person on earth, cuz im going to the happiest place on earth...

Hey Barb!

Today I am thankful mostly for something that, on the surface, seems just weird 

I am thankful for Verizon because it allows me the privilege of talking to my Airman First Class Dustin Harper!!!!

It is so dang cool that we can text each other just like we used to before he went half way across the USA!.  It is sooo much nicer than when he was in basic training and there was almost no contact at all.  Even though I understand why they only allow very limited contact, it stinks when you are the the parties involved. 

I am also thankful for the other things in life, both bad and good.
