Newbie

Hello everyone.  My name is Alicia....I am still finding my way around these forums.....and was told to look this one up.  I am scheduled to have RNY on 8-27-09.  I am not scared....wi**** were today.  I would love to get to know more of you ....and get tips.....everyone has been really nice at OH...and it is really a comfort to chat openly with others that are going through the same experiences as myself.  So...say hi if you want....the friendship would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Cali Board! You will find a lot of information here, along with some very nice and special people. Feel free to post any questions, everybody will do their best to answer. Congratulations on getting your date.  I look forward to scootin down the loser's bench for you!

Where in Cali are you from? There are all sorts of coffee and luncheon get togethers that quite a few people attend from here on the board. Its a nice safe way to get to know eachother better.

I look foward to hearing more from you! We are a friendly group, so again welcome and stay awhile!

Welcome to the Cali board, we're so glad you found us.  Congratulations on your upcoming surgery too.  Hey, if you're up for a drive, we're going to have our Nor Cal luncheon next Sat. in Pleasant Hill at Chevy's and we'd love to meet you.  We're a great group both here on the Cali board and at the Nor Cal luncheon, lots of support and friendship. (see earlier post on the particulars of the luncheon).

By all means, read blogs of those who have had surgery, lots of good honest information and good pics too.  We're here to answer your questions and we'll all be moving over on the losers bench to make room for you on the 27th.

 I would love to meet you guys next week...but...I have to work...and my sister is flying in from KY to be with me for my surgery....so I have a really busy next 2 weeks.....I am trying to get everything that I can get done....done before the surgery.  

I am really thankful I have found this site...it has really been a blessing....and has provided many answers to the questions I have had.

Hi!  I am new too.  I can tell you everyone has been so nice to me.  Boy your surgery is just around the corner.  Mine is Sept. 9.  I whi**** were sooner too.  Good Luck!
