Thank you! Linda Scroggy does sound like a perfect resource being she has been through the RNY herself.

I am eager to find someone closer to Fremont though due to work/home/convenience. I will keep this in mind on my search!

Thank you so much for your response!

Hi Megan,

DOnt know if this will help but I am with PAMF too in Fremont. My Dr. is on maternity leave right now. I just got my insurance approval not skeduled date yet still putting that together. But I really like PAMF here. If I were you I would call them not sure about the PPO though so you might check plus just ask them about any PC Drs open for new patients for WL. they should help you.

But Im always happy to meet anyone close in the area where I live, I actaully use to live in Hayward too.

Your date is so close would you like to get together and meet in a public place and chit chat more I would really like that. I just became a member here about week ago . Theres so much info and great ppl and Im just loving it. So let me know.  Good Luck

Thank you this is very helpful, yes. So far most of the people I have looked up to be a PCP at PAMF have been not accepting new patients.

Maybe I will call and just ask some general questions and see if there are any doctors accepting new patients that aren't apposed to WLS.

They do take my PPO because several of my co workers and friends have doctors there. So, that is a relief.

This is a really good place to meet others who share similar struggles. Thats one thing I know for sure, this is a great place. Perhaps after my surgery we can connect and I can help you more as I move my way along the journey.

What are you hours like? I work like a crazy person so before surgery may be a little tough because I am prepping to be out of the office. I will request to be your friend.
