Good Morning Calif......

Welcome to Sunday Morning, per the news, the weather is going to be great, so you should try to get out and spend some time getting some Vit. D

Nothing much to take about. All I done yesterday was WORK! And dream of the moment I get into the jeep and head out to pick up Stephie, who by then will need shower after spending a week waiting for me on her front step. Maybe Mikie will hose her off before I get there. I got my pass port so we are safe to travel to where we choose. I am sure if we head out to area 51 we will need it. LOL

My nephew bought a truck. Everyone told him not to but he did not listen to us.  NOOO!! The truck has been sitting for 18 years, only being started once in a while, so now the truck sits. Yap it dead. He thinks the transmission went out, so now he is making payments on a truck he can not drive. I hope to say. Lesson Learned for him, but I doubt it. LOL. He can not aford to get it fixed, nor does he have a clue how to fix it himself. I think was going to ask me to pay for it be fixed. As soon as I got home last night he was here talking about the truck, before he could get out what he wanted, I said to him. I hope you learned a lesson with this truck. Listen to what others have to say. The truck has been sitting for 18 years. Its was bound to have problems...........So if anyone wants to help him fix his truck, let me know, and I will let him know. LOL

OK so what did you do yesterday? I see Lady Di is home and feel tons better. That is great news. Welcome home Di. But what about the rest of you calif peeps, What have you been up to, or what do you have planned today?

I wish you all a great day of rest. The 7th day of the week is ment to rest so when Manic Monday rolls around you are ready to face the crazy pace of the day. So rest so you are ready for the rest of the week.

Good morning Cali,

I had a nice day yesterday.  Went to group, shopping and the park.  It was so nice in the evening after dinner we took Vanessa to the park and then we walked to Mc D for her to get an ice cream cone.  She was in heaven.  Got my packing and cleaning done so I won't feel so bad about leaving in the morning with the house a mess.

Not sure what today brings?  I know church and then??   Maybe we can run away to the beach.  You all enjoy your Sunday!

So glad to see Diane is home and feeling much better.
Still in my prayers friend for a speedy recovery.

Went to the Redwoods below Crescent City last week, what a wondeful place. We stayed at Del Norte Campground. OMG! That is really God's Country up there. Had a great time, can't wait to see more of the great USA this coming year.

My daughter gets married this Thursday in San Diego, so I won't be around much. I have each day planned to finish things up.

To everyone, to the newbie's and to the surgeries coming up, I think about you everyday and you are all in my prayers. I love my OH Family.

Sorry to hear about your nephew, that is sure a bummer about the truck, but as you say, live and learn and sometimes the hard way.

So glad to hear Diane is home and doing better each day.

Karen, I know the wedding will be beautiful and you will be so proud.  Enjoy, you've earned it.

Today brings some shopping and family.  We will go see my father-in-law (they thing he may come home in 2 weeks!)

Hi Lu,

So here I am sitting on the front step.  Time to go yet???  I'll tell Mike about your suggestion about the hose.  It should help a bit.  LOL  OK, I can make it until next Saturday.  I won't sit on the stoop, I'll be good.  I'll even go to work all week.

Didn't get out to get a new fridge yesterday.  Mike got home too late.  Can't do it today, so I guess that will have to wait.  Yesterday wound up being a pretty quiet day.  Went to a birthday party last night and spent a lovely evening with some wonderful friends.  Today brings me to Pasadena and my nieces's birthday.  I still can't believe the little twit is actually 13 today.  I just don't know where the time has gone.

OK, time to make some coffee and then get ready to leave for the day.  Have a great day and remember, do something wonderful for yourself.

Hi Cali Crew,

This weekend has been somewhat of a wash. I live 10 miles from the Lockheed fire in Santa Cruz County and the ash and smoke have been horrible.  My eyes won't stop stinging and we've spent most of the days indoors with our windows closed. I am really craving fresh air.  Fortunately no homes have been lost and the fire is now 50% contained. A big shoutout to the fire fighters who are here from all over the state.

I am going to read the Sunday paper now before going to my mom's to help her in the garden. Chemo is really taking its toll on her this go around. She gets tired so quickly now.

I am sorry I have not  been on much.. Life needless to say has been CRAZY since being home.
Between the first week of school, being sick, and fighting with my DH... I has not been a very welcome home kinda experience.

But I am trying to let that all go today and I am going to take my kids to the Fair~wish me luck.. LOL

I hope all is going well with everyone..  Enjoy the last day of our weekend..

Hello Cali!

Today brings more packing and some rest.  This is getting overwhelming looking at all my stuff!  I ache to live a life with less STUFF lol.   Been giving away and throwing away as much as I can and I still get so tired working on all this I have to take breaks and lie down.  Mom has been helping me a lot. which is so nice.

Just doing some reflecting on my life.. and getting down... but then thinking I need to be positive and it helps so much to come on the boards and read posts.

Today was the Tehachapi Mountain Festival...The Paso Robles Olive Festival will be on the 20th and 21st...I don't live close enough but someone must...LOL.

Ventura has the Lemon Festival over Labor Day Weekend..Bakersfield has the Greek Food Festival..
