I don't want any set backs either.  I don't think I could mentally take it.  Right now is probably the hardest for me, to sit and do nothing.  I do mean nothing, except I am getting so strong bi-ceps because my arm is going to my mouth all the time.  As long as I stay on the morphine pills that pain is very manageable, and even when they do wear off, the pain, at least to me, is nothing.   I can't wait to be able to go shopping and not worry about something hurting, or my feet asleep, can't walk, it may be awhile, but I will be ready to go when it is time.

I think I'm just a little bit impatient.  This week is going to drag so bad.  I know it is.  But we'll push on and eventually the weekend will be here and before we know it, we'll be walking up and down the halls of the hotel looking for leftover food trays.

I got my hair done on Friday.  I'm back to being me again.  Gave up on trying to be a blond.  I'm not a blond.  I wasn't born a blond and no amount of colored peroxide is going to make me a blond so I am back to being the brunette I was destined to be.  Got to admit, I do feel much more like myself.

Still no new fridge for us.  Mike got home too late on Saturday and then yesterday we had to go to my sister's for my nieces 13th birthday.  Maybe try one night this week

OK, guess it's time to put my mind to the task at hand and get some work done here.  I've got my coffee and I guess I'm ready to go.  Oh who am I kidding.  The only place I'm ready to go is VEGAS BABY!!!!  We need to remember cameras so we can document this historic moment in time.  Or better yet, leave the pictures behind and let everyone just wonder what we are really up to next weekend.

Oh, on the contrary.  I had lots of fun being a blond.  Didn't know who I was having all that fun, which was probably what made it more fun.  Now I'll recognize myself when I have all the fun and if I get in trouble I'll just blame it on the old blond me.

OK, so this made no sense.  I'm seeing a blond joke in here somewhere.  LOL

Good Morning Lu and Cali Friends,

Lu so glad this week will bring a nice get away for you, it makes it that much sweeter to get up and go knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I had a great weekend, yesterday we ran to KMart and my step mom bought a microwave.  She needed one so badly.  We then went out to Brentwood and picked up some Brentwood corn, and asst. veges.  Yummy.  We ran to WalMart last night and I ran in to a friend from high school that I hadn't seen in a while.  We live in the same town but never seem to rally.  It was fun though.

Today, my mother-in-law, step mom and I are going to Costco and to see Julie and Julia.  All of us love to cook and we thought this movie might be lots of fun.  I haven't been to a movie in ages.

This week I will be preparing for my interview on Friday.  I need to get hair and nails done too and then I am ready to take it on!

I had a great weekend as well.  I must admit, and I'm not bragging, well maybe a little bit of bragging, but since I retired last year every day sort of seems like the weekend. 

Any way, I have surgery in about 3 weeks so I need to start getting stuff done around the house.  So I guess that means I have to do work around the house.  YUCK!

Happy Monday all,
Back to work after a full week in Mammoth. The weather was beautiful, clean air, the fresh smell of pine. Reminded me of my younger days camping with my family. Those days are long gone now..

Glad to hear you are home and have a new lap top Diane. Hang in there it's got to get better soon. Try to be patient you have a great team of nurses (Doug & Dad).
