This week brings in nothing new, until Friday rolls around.  I have a quick visit to the mechanic for an alignment, another quick stop at the salon, then it's off to Palmdale to drop off some furniture to my cousin.  And to round out the day; I'll be heading out to have dinner with the High Desert Crew.

Diane, here is to a quick and successful recovery.  Can you do crossword puzzles, watch good movies, trashy daytime TV??  I think we foodies have a hard time with free time!!!

My week looks rather mellow, but the politician I work for is out of session which means I have him full time instead of the Sacramento staff.  I am his Cheif of Staff in the district.  This means a day that looks mellow can suddenly turn into the exact opposite, but I wouldn't mind a little excitement like a late breaking need for a media interview.  Free time is not the best thing for me when it comes to my inner muncher.

I do all of the above on a computer.  I do like wasting time, but I am so anal about things around my house that it just drives me crazy knowing that things are not done the way I like to have them done.  I mean I cleaned before I went in the hospital, then it was 9 more days before I came home...what the heck.  I am sure glad I was pretty drugged when I got into the house, that way I didn't see much, just the entire flight of stairs I needed to climb.  I have plenty of sunflower seeds to snacking.  That is the only thing I allow in the room.

Just a quick note here and I'm going back to bed.

I made a huge mistake over the past five days or so and I won't make it again.  I've been desperately trying to get off my last bit of meds.  Requip and Ambien.  I honestly thought the Restless Leg Syndrome was due to my weight and lack of activity.  Wrong!  I've lost almost all my weight and I'm very active now, but Saturday night was hell for me.  I hadn't taken Requip in three days by then and I was up till 6 am Sunday morning, kicking and twitching.  It was awful.  I was crawling out of my own skin.  So I refilled the Requip and slept last night, but I've had the worst headache since yesterday and I'm just not feeling well.  So I'm giving myself a day in bed.  School starts in two weeks and I need one day off.

I was supposed to start work today, but the woman I'll be caring for said she doesn't need me to start till the 31st and right now I'm kinda glad for that because I would have been dragging today.

I'm so glad to see you posting Diane.  Take care of yourself and you'll be up and around in no time.

Maureen....I've wanted to go hunting for so long.  Someday maybe.  I know Harley really wants to take me.

Ok, this was much longer than I planned for.  I'm heading back to bed.  Everyone have a great Monday!

Hey Lu and Cali Crew! I survived the weekend. For 4 days I have been sick as hell. Today I am much better.
Diane, so glad to see you are home and on the mend. Well, I guess this is one way to get a new lap top.LOL Just kidding. Hope you are up and going soon.
Momo, what surgery?? I know I missed something. I always do.
Lisa, I hope you get your place. Moving is always such a pain. Good Luck...sending you good JuJu.
As for me I am trying to catch up some house work. An doing my weekly laundry.

Good afternoon Cali,

I am back on the road.  I left early this morning and just now had a chance to look at the boards.  We had a great weekend.  Went to Santa Cruz yesterday and it was great (except for the smoke smell!).  Went to a b-day party in the evening and they kept trying to geed me more!!  I kept telling them I was fine.  My DH was more than happy to get second (it was Indian food not my fave).

DH and Vanessa are coming up this week to stay with me.  So should be nice.  Everyone have a great day.
