Strange Pain question

Hi all,

I will definitely call my doctor tomorrow, but looking over my WLS material I couldn't find something to match up to the pain I am experiencing.

I have a pain on the left side of my body almost right at my waist and maybe an inch towards my belly button.  I was reading my list of complications from WLS, but none of it described the symptoms of the complications. I've had a hernia before and it kind of feels like that but not exactly.

Have any of you had similar symptoms?

Thanks,

MsBlues

Pain on left side is quite common.  That is the port where most of the work was perfromed from during your surgery.   Yes, call your doctor in the morning, but that is probably what they will tell you.  I had pain on the left side for a year after surgery and at times it was quite awful.  But it eventually went away.

Try some Tylenol that might help it a bit.  Feel better.

Thanks Stephanie.  I notice it seems to be more sharp after I've done some sort of activity like swimming.  Like you said, call the doctor in the morning.  I've already decided it's just residual pain and there is nothing to worry about. How's that for positive thinking??

I think you are probably right about residual pain.  Especially now that you saying it's more pronounced after swimming.  It's probably muscular.  But again, call the doctor in the morning just to be sure.
