VERY SERIOUS NOT RELATED TO WLS
Hello there,
Yes, Unfortunately I have had my share of anxiety attacks and they are not fun at all. In fact they are scary and feel sometimes like you are having a heart attack. The heart races and you can't sit or stand or lie down for too long at a time.. end up kind of pacing the house in a panic. I have had way too many to count. When it first came on bad, i couldnt even drive.. i would freak out driving. Since then, I have been on several meds for anxiety/depression and I keep a bottle of xanax with me at all times. Once it was under control, I normally don't take the xanax, but just knowing it is there if I need it helps a lot.
It can be from a combination of different stresses in life and can really screw up your sleeping pattern. Talk to you doctor. I went on the meds and started seeing a therapist and things got a lot better! This was like 5 years ago. ive went off the meds for awhile but then my life got really stressful again with being laid off and relationship issues and so im back on again.
If someone hasn't had one, there is no relating to the feeling of horror it can bring. I completelly relate and wish you well!
Big hugs!
Jackie

I never had any until about 7 months ago. I went to the doc, who didn't seem to take them too seriously, which didn't make me happy because I felt like I was literally coming out of my skin, no matter what I did. They seemed to have calmed down, but if they return, I will be banging on my doctors door again!
Wishing you the best, Diane
