I wasn't nervous or scare. It would make my 8Th surgery in 5 years and it was going to save my life in one way or another. I was at the Surgeons office when I got my date, think I would have to wait a few more months for insurance approve but that was not the case the scheduled me that day and I had a few weeks to prepare for the big day. Although, when the told me they were giving me my date I burst into tears...I was sooooo surprised it was happening so fast. From the day I decided to the day of surgery was just under 7 months. I didn't have Kaiser but I had a lot of class to do and test to run. And when you get to be of a "certain age" time goes by really really fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck in your Journey and your new life of being a happier, healthier you.

I just want to thank everyone of you for helping me.  Your comments have set my mind at ease.  I'm starting to organize what needs to be done before the big day.  I know it will come so fast.  I have my preop appt on Sept 2nd.  All of you are such an inspiration and I have found myself lost in hours of before and after shots.  Speaking of which I will be taking my presurgery pic soon.
thank you, everyone of you, for lending your time and experience to us pre's.
