Going to Reno Nv
My hubby and I are going to Reno NV. anyone know of anything to do there? other than gambling? He has work meetings From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. so I will have lots of free time. I am really going to keep up with my diet program have lost 10 lbs so far hate to blow in one week. I am taking my bullet and click drinks and Protein bars.

I've gone to Reno a lot lately because it's a low cost way to enjoy the usually very nice spa and exercise rooms at the bigger hotels. I don't know where you're staying, but if you're at the Atlantis or Peppermill, they both have very nice areas to sit in the steam room, hot tub or saunas and nice pools to swim in.
I know you mentioned what else other than gambling, but the Sands Hotel has a bingo room and it's pretty inexpensive to go play bingo for an hour. I've had fun doing that. Plus you have a chance at winning a decent amount.
Also, there is a nice river walk that runs along the Truckee river that goes through the middle of town. It's great to hear the water rushing by, seeing people kayak down the river and there are some nice shops and tea and coffee places that look out on the river. It's very close to the area where Circus Circus and the Silver Legecy are located
Reno does have a large shopping mall that you can get to by city bus from the main casino drag on Virginia Street.
I would also check out the art museum. Reno has had an explosion of the arts community lately and their museum usually has great exhibits.
If you have a car, it might be fun to drive to Virginia City. It's a town that looks the same as it did when it was built to support the silver mines in the area in the 19th and early 20th century. There's a lot of history and fun shops there. Also, you can drive to Carson City where the Neveda State museum is located.
I hope that helps. Enjoy your time there!
