Good Tuesday morning Cali Friends, what are you thankful for today?

Today I am thankful for...

1. Maya Angelou, who's words inspire me.  This is one of my all time favorites and I use it when I train managers on dealing with injured workers.

2. Your good thoughts and prayers for me in my job search.  I feel them supporting me and giving me strength.  I feel positive and alive. Thank you.

3. Starting my day with my coffee and looking for a quote that inspires me to give others a good and positive start to their day.  

Ok, I did get a little sappy today, blame it on Missy Rhonda who made me all teary eyed with her beautiful words of encouragement!  I loved and appreciated every word!  Thank you my friend and blessings back a thousand times to you and your wonderful family!

Good Morning Barb!

I adore Maya Angelou! She is such a terrific writer. I love to hear her speak as well. Your choice just touched me so deeply today. I would love to live up to these words. Thank you for making this choice. I hope you have a blessed day, my friend. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Today I am thankful for:

1. Barb. For the words that speak to her, that she shares with us everyday. That she takes the time out to think of us. She has such a kind and giving spirit. I can hardly wait to meet you in person and give you a big hug.

2. finding a place for my husband and I to move into. God is great.

3. family and friends that are going to take the time out to help us move this weekend. I am humbled when people help me. Thank you for the blessings.

4. friends that introduce me to the wonderful world of Legos! More Legos please!

Ok, you, Rhonda and Rachel are making me cry today.  You're too sweet.  I can't wait to come down there and hug everyone.  I will have to make sure I bring a bunch of boxes of tissue with me for tears and a couple of packages of depends cuz you guys are going to keep me laughing too, I just know it.  OMG both ends going!  LOL

Thank you for a great quote this morning.  People really need to reread that one several times.

This morning, I am thankful for my hubby,  He who tends to my every need has been my rock, not just recently, but from the day we met, almost 39 years ago. 

I am thankful for my friends, who are relentless in calling me and checking on me, with offers to do anything I need done.  

To God, for giving me such a wonderful life. I am thankful and blessed

I am Thankful today for:

a safe trip to and from Washington..

a wonderful mother-in-law who has welcomed me into her family even tho I 'arrived' almost 40years 'late' LOL

a wonderful 'in-law' family...there may be 'drama', but the family does include me! LOL

to awesome co-workers who came to our aid when time was of the essence...and preventing everything in our home being stolen while we were gone

and to an awesome family here at OH...I could read all of your postings, just couldn't send out (boo hoo hoo!)...your devotion, caring concerns and support of each other is PRICELESS!

So Happy to be home!

Ah, soul sister Nancy,

I sure did miss you.  The state wasn't the same without you here.  Hope you had a great vacation and so glad you returned safe and sound.  See you Sat.

Truer words were never written. 

I am thankful...

1. That my strength far outweighs my emotional nature.
2. For my friend Julie who always keeps me laughing hysterically and has supported me non-stop and unwaveringly this last year in my journey.
3. Thankful that my experience with WLS and OH and meeting the wonderful and inspirational Barb, has kept me focused on trying to help others as much as others have helped me.
4. For the bond that I have with my youngest brother.  I am so proud of him - that he has been clean and sober for several years now and that he is learning what it means to be a father. 
5. That my WLS journey has inspired my parents to exercise more, eat healthier and take better care of themselves.

Wow.. and at the beginning of this I wondered if I would have enough to say!!!

Today's Thankful List

My Boss - who has been so flexible and cooperative about me leaving for a few weeks while I have plastics.

My Mom - just because she's kind of crazy and sometimes she makes me laugh

FRIENDS - who helped me celebrate another birthday last week....and those who are being so helpful while I make some big changes in my life right now

My brown skin - because it doesn't burn even though I floated in a swimming pool all day on Friday. :D

Life - Another year of life that I had, thinner, healthier, more active and more adventurous.
