just got ok for surgery no date yet

this last week has been such an emotional week. been trying to get this surgery since january.l was all set for surgery for august 26. when 2 weeks ago they told me i would have to go throughthe authoriztion process again. So went thur that and they denied the surgery. they told me last friday.so i cried for a couple of hours. then got mad and called the authorization people back and told them i didn't want to to go through a diet program and could they take it back to the panel and review my case again. so the woman i was talking tried to talk me out of that but i wouldn't.so she so ok she would take it back to panel. and to my surprise she called me today ok you can have the surgery.so this day is one of thhe best days of my life. but i hope to have plenty more after surgery.so i would like to say don't give up. iand i would like to thank my son michael for his support. he put me in contact of one of his paramount high school teachers nancy who told me about this web site. she had gbs surgery too. and she also told me about a group of women who meet at starbucks once a month.  and strarbucks is where my son met up with nancy after 10 yrs. of being out of school. he was the manager at that starbucks and let them have there meetings there. after all that i am glad i found this website so i can have a place to ask questions and make new friends.

He's told me about your health issues and wanted this for you for sooooo long!

You are in great hands with Dr. Chin, and Nancy knows the ropes, and LiteDimensions will take good care of you...AND we DO have a fabulous group that meets once a month! I shall see you then...on the 29th... rah!

Welcome to the Cali Board Patsy and congrats on being approved for surgery. You will find a great group of people here. Very supportive and knowledgeable. The Long Beach Crew are the ones that do the Starbucks meeting at the end of the month. They are a great group of people. If you have any questions, ask. There is always someone around to answer them. =)
