mornin cali!
Today brings my Friday for this week, but that doesn't equal any rest for me tomorrow.  I totally spaced on promising my cousin that I'd haul some furniture and other various crap up to Palmdale tomorrow morning.  I guess that's what happens when you have a truck.  Either way, he's my favorite cousin, I don't see him much, so it'll be a lot of fun.....if you consider moving furniture and other various crap, fun.  Tomorrow also brings my first attendance of the High Desert Dinner, so that should be a lot of fun.  I get to drive there straight from Palmdale, so it shouldn't be too bad shooting across the 138.  Anyways, it's about time to start the work day, and that means another day of meeting after meeting, after zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ... boring meeting.

I hope everyone has a great day, and for all of y'all that are venturing off this weekend; have a blast!

Good Morning Lisa and Cali Friends,

Lisa, you don't look old enough to have a 17 year old daughter!  Hang in there, things are going to work out fine, and take one day at a time.  We're here for you.

Lu and Steph, I'm not sure Vegas will ever be the same.  OK, I know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but I hope you'll give us the low down when you get back.

Chris, so glad things are getting back in order at your house.  You will leave for Seattle and things will be calmer.  Have fun with your hoodies.

Dolores, today is a new day.  I know what those days are like, my mantra was always, work is something I do, it's not who I am.  I hope to see you and the family Sat. so I can give Vanessa a hug.

Today brings a much needed hair cut/style and a rare hair color (I usually do my own color).  I need a makeover!  I figure it's the cost of hopefully landing a new job LOL  Ya know, I can quantify almost anything LOL.  Yesterday got the hands and toes all done up.

Please remember to keep MoMo in your prayers today as she is having surgery on her ankle.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Barb

No problem Barb.  Once we sober up in a week or so, I'm sure we'll have plenty of stories to tell.  Pictures, however, will be available for a price. LOL

Good morning California,

I need to get busy working here.  The more I work, hopefully the quicker the day will go and then it will be tomorrow and the week will be over and Lu and I are off to Vegas.  Look out Vegas, here we come.  I haven't been to Vegas in at least 2 years or close to it I think.  Last time I went my son was still living there and I went with my sister and niece and let me tell you it was no fun.  It was great seeing my son, of course, but my sister and niece and niece's friend was a whole other story.  I love them dearly, but sometimes they just get on my last nerve.  So this trip is all about Girl Power and Girl Fun.  We are going with not a plan or idea of what we are going to do or when we are going to do it, whatever it is we finally decide to do or not do.  Ok, I'm confused and I haven't even had a drink in Vegas yet.  Oh well, I'm getting ready for our Lost Weekend.

Everyone have a great day and remember, do something wonderful for yourself.

I am so jealous of you and Lu.  I so want to go to Vegas.  The last time I went was Nov of 85 When I married my ext.  I never really got to see anything either because we drove in, got married, ate, slept and then left.

I told my kids I am going even if I have to go alone.  Hopefully, I will have some extra money by next year.

Have a great time!!!
My great hope is to laugh as much as I cry; to get my work done and try to love somebody and have the courage to accept the love in return.-- Maya Angelou

I lived in Vegas for a year.  It's not all it's cracked up to be.  It's not so much the city itself, but the company I'm going with.  Lu and I always have a great time no matter where we go, no matter what we are doing.  For some reason we laugh our silly heads off usually for no reason whatsoever.

But you can go to Vegas now pretty inexpensively if you go midweek and not on the weekends and don't stay at one of the fancy hotels.  You can go see all the big hotels without having to stay there and there are plenty of free things to do in Vegas.  Of course I always wind up spending more money then I planned, but oh well, it's spend it on myself or spend it .... no I'll spend it on myself.  Fortunately my child is grown and self sufficient so I get the blessings of being a mom without the expense that goes along with it.  Got to love those kids when they are all grown up.

Thanks for the good wishes.  I know we'll have a great time.

Good Morning Lisa and Cali Crew,

Today brings more packing, Ugh! I really dislike packing and moving. But gotta do, what I gotta do. Maybe I will be able to sneak some time in with some friends. I wanted to share this incident that happened to me on Tuesday night. I was taking a shower and washing my hair, when I saw movement on the floor of the tub. Well, you know that chill that runs from your head to your toes when you get scared? That happened. I thought it was a big bug or something. So I look around and nothing. So I continue to wash, and I see it again. It was only then, that I realized that it was.... MY TOES!! My belly had shrunk so I could see my feet again! I never laughed so hard by myself! Its silly, but I was still so proud! Lol!
Have a great day, my friends!
