I have daphne growing in my tank and I can't kill it. There is a biologist up the street from where I work and he told me to use Copper Safe and keep the lights out....well, guess what, it must fertizlie them cause my tank is still growing them.

Any advise?

How big is your tank? I have a 50 gallon tank and have recently had to take all fish out, clean everything in the tank with vinegar, including scrubbing tank itself with it, and rinse all well with cold water, (I had a couple friends carry mine outside so I could use waterhose on it) leave all your stuff out of tank and let dry in the sun for about 3 days, then put it back in.  But rinse one more time with cold water.
Walmart has algae fizz tablets, I reccomend using one tablet every 2 weeks for a while after change wether you need to or not. Do not put anything made of plastic in your tank except in water filters.
